Perches are an essential part of a proper conure habitat where your bird will feel safe and secure above the ground. Perches may be made of rope, wood, sandstone, or even edible materials, and offering a variety of perches in your bird's home is recommended to help prevent arthritis and painful feet.
A variety of perches of differing diameters should be offered that are approximately 1/2" in diameter.
A variety of perches with varying diameters and textures is recommended to help with good foot health.
Perches provide a place for your bird to stand with a natural foot position, securely off the ground. Perches should vary in size and texture as this will aid in proper muscle tone of the feet and help prevent arthritis.

Hi! My male budgie is sick and cant balance very well. Should i get platform perches for her?
I recently got a baby conure. I would like him to have a little bit of training. I was wondering how do you train him to stay on a perch? Also he loves to play which I love but he gets a little nippy. He’s not being aggressive or anything he just gets very excited. How do you get him to lay off the play biting? Thank you
I am looking to get a bigger cage for my 2 year old conure. Currently I’m in the market to buy one online that is advertised as a “solid metal cage” coated with “non-toxic hammertone paint” which included stainless steel dishes. I was just wondering if this would actually be a safe cage for a green cheek. The seller is YaheeTech, which is based in Ontario California but customer pictures show a box with "Made in China." Mostly 5 stars, with lowest rating be 3 stars. Is non-toxic hammertone safe?
Can I take a shower with a Amazon Parrot? What temperature range water is safe? Do I need to give them a cuttle cone? What to chew one? How often do I have to take them for beak/wing/nail trim? What size cage? It would probably be out a lot because I am home most every day. Only gone on Fridays. I want a bird that can do almost everything with me and not too small. About a medium bird? Any recommend birds? I’ve never had a bird but I know a few people that have birds. Right food? (See pic) thx!
My green-cheeked conure is fine with me touching her unless she is somewhere higher up than me for instance, her cage or my shoulder. How should I correct this behavior?
Hiw do I get my 2 month green cheek conures to step up on my finger. She gets on the bottom of her cage and I can pet her. I put my finger under her but she won’t move. I push gently on her chest with my finger and I’ve moved my finger out a little. No stepping on it
Where is the best place for me to put my bird cage?
My Green Cheeked Conure has started to do this thing in his neck where he stretches it, is this normal?
I noticed his stool has seeds in it recently. He is coming out of his cage, however the last 3 nights he's been sleeping in the corner bottom of cage. He usually chirps when I come home but lately he's quieter. He does perch in the cage and out. He is chirping, eating & drinking. Diet is primarily seeds & small pellets. I've tried to give him fruits & veggies but he doesn't eat them. I still keep trying different things. I am concerned.
What is some bird cage recommendation for 2 parakeet at the lowest price available, or if by any chance a free unwanted bird cage at nyc., Thank you
Is it ok for my parakeet to be chewing on a rope?
Suggest a online site for budgie toys so that my budgie can play with it
