Directions Unscrew the nut from the back of the card and remove the perch. Choose a place for the perch. Make sure that the area directly below the perch is free of food and water containers or other perches so that these will not be contaminated by droppings. The perch can be attached parallel or perpendicular to any toy, waterer, or feeder. Place the end of the perch against the wire of the cage so that the threaded rod goes completely through the space between the wires. Apply the nut and tighten securely. Made in China.

Attaches flimsily...

I bought two. Both do not attach well to the cage at all. The threaded rod is too narrow to properly catch the threads in the nut when between the cage bars (without that spacer they do catch). They do not stay on at all. I did find a work-around, I wrapped teflon tape around the threads to build up the thickness and it now holds securely. But they should be manufacturered better.

Sand perches are bad!

SAND PERCHES ARE BAD

Ive done 1 week or research and I already know this! Concrete and sand-covered perches are unpleasant for birds to stand on because they are cold and can dry out their feet. Not to mention it can cause many injuries for ur birds feet! If you were planing on buying this product do more research on birds! Instead get natural wood perches. I know that they are more expensive but your birds will be happy when there feet are not covered in sores.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Sand perches are bad for birds. I've done 1 week of research and I already know that! Sand perches are considered bad for birds because the harsh, scratchy surfaces of these little benches can cause great harm to your bird's feet. Please do more research before getting a bird.

No, I do not recommend this product.

What kind of perch can I get for my Parrot. She is very destructive. She chews right through the wooden ones

  1. I have a green cheeked conure and while she does chew through wooden toys, she has not even tried to chew through this perch, I think it’s because it’s made of plastic and has a sandpaper like texture to it. I think that’s the reason she leaves it alone. I think you should be ok with this perch.

what size is good for budgies

Which size is good for lovebirds

Does the sand come of as they use it?

      1. I haven't noticed any sand come off while the bird uses. But when you first open the package there is loose sand. I cleaned it off before presenting it to my conure.
