I have a Basset Hound. Do dogs need coats in the winter?
Why does my dog hate wearing sweaters? The others are always good, hazel has a water jacket and I put it on her when its really cold or raining and she always stays still like a statue and then she will rub against the wall, plants, or a couch, the jacket fits her perfectly and she can pee and poop with no issue (asking since summer is all most over ) thank you!
In winters will it be safe to make him wear dog coat because his nose remains cold all the night in winters even after wearing coat
I just bought my dog a fleece vest to wear in the winter because she shivers, and it seems to help calm her as well. Would it be ok to leave it on at night? It's not restrictive and she doesn't chew at it or try to take it off. She sleeps in a big wire crate next to my bed with her brother.

Ok so I have an issue. Its getting cold here and we are looking at some very heavy snow this year. All three of our dogs are rather thin coated. The older two refuse to potty outside if its too cold. Would sweaters help? Also the youngest is less than two pounds (tiny chihuahua mix) and even though he's not allowed outside yet we like 2 to 4 inches above our floor tend to get cold no matter what temperature we keep the house at how can I help him stay warm?

Recently noticed unusual patches in my boys coat. It is sometimes painful to him when brushed. It only seems to be on his back and hind. When the hair is moved against its growth pattern their are bald patches and the flakes as shown. He is an inside dog mostly and doesn’t like to be too hot or too cold lol. He is turning 10 this September. We do not shave him-only brushing when he goes through his shedding phases. However, his coat now does not look like it does when he does his big shed 2/year
