I got my thunder shirt in two days. It doesn't work. It was to easy for my winner to get off.

We bought this for our 1 year old German Shephard, who we rescued. She is high strung and very anxious. We were hoping this would help her. She was able to get it off and then proceeded to shred it in pieces. Luckily, we were able to return it. This may work for some dogs but not ours.

So we went through some really bad thunderstorms after the 4th of July. So our dog was already pretty traumatized by all the fireworks. So a couple of nights later during a really bad thunderstorm she and I were both up all night with her absolutely freaking out. I decided to give the Thundershirt a try...you know I figured it was under $50 dollars with a money back guarantee. So the next day we had another thunderstorm...I put the Thundershirt on her. At first she didn't like it, but soon after she was on the couch sleeping like a baby. I got to tell you I was shocked. So I don't know about the other reviews that were negative, but for my dog, it just simply worked.

My dog had bad anxiety. We got everything, including the thunder shirt. When home, an anxiety trigger happened (keys), and she ripped the thunder shirt off of herself in about 30 seconds. Mind you, she is small (Westie). It (obviously) didn't work. If you are looking to cure anxiety with anything (thunder, car rides, separation, etc), there is no easy fix. Thunder shirt doesn't work at all. Don't waste your money. I am ashamed to even say I tried this. She needed therapy, not a shirt.

This product did not help my dog at all. We allowed for an adjustment period, but the anxiety level kept increasing. As soon as we took it off, she calmed down.

I have a very insecure dog who is bad about jumping and mouthing. I have trained her to grab a toy when she feels anxious, and having a "binkie" has helped with the mouthing. However, she still jumps on me, my kids, the doors and walls, which leads to a lot of scratches. I was looking for a harness to keep her from jumping, but couldn't find what I wanted. I decided to give the Thunder Shirt a go. She didn't like it the first time I put it on, but having it on seemed to help her anxiety. When it's on she rarely jumps or tries to grab your hand in her mouth. She's still high energy, but it's turned down a little. Instead of being cranked up to 11 she's more like an 8. The Thunder shirt, along with exercise and training, is proving to be a great tool for an uptight dog. Based on my experience I would recommend one for behavior problems, as long as you don't expect it to be a miracle cure. In fact, I'm going to get a second one soon so I can switch off when one gets dirty.

My dog has fear issues but then thundershirt did nothing to alleviate any of them. I would have give the thundershirt a big thumbs down!!!!!
