We have two short haired pitties and this jacket was great on extremely cold days! Matched with the sweater, our pups acted like they were full huskies!

Great coat!! 2nd one purchased. Good quality and durable! First coat lasted almost 5 years with a very active short hair.

This follows the same line of issue with the shoes. My 12 yrold labradoodle hates the cold and the snow and therefore loves this. Where as my other two pups hate the coats and shoes because it removes them from the comfort of the cold. If your dog loves the snow, don't get this for them. But if your dog hates the cold, they will love this coat. My labradoodle never wants to take it off.

based on the measurements, it should fit my dog perfectly. However, the collar sits weirdly on her neck (almost like a 1980's izod collar worn in the "upright position"). Kurgo should take into consideration the length of the dog's back, too. I did see the photo comparing how it would fit various dogs, but it's strange to see the jacket only come to the middle of her back.

love, love, love my new winter/raincoat! It has enough length to cover my long torso completely and the sides of the coat are long enough to cover my rib cage (the last coat mom bought didn't cover my rump or sides). Great Kurgo quality, as usual! Can't wait until it rains again.

How does this go on? I read it doesn't have velcro but does it have a buckle or does it slide over the head?

However, you will always want to measure your dog before selecting a size, for any breed, to determine if this style of coat will work for them.
