Thanks for reaching out about Randomy. Without knowing what type of bird and what is wrong, it is very difficult to give ideas. Is there a local wildlife rescue group to assist? Provide heat support in the 80-85 F range for comfort. Try offering water via a syringe and if takes well, a baby bird hand-rearing formula should be syringe fed for calories and nutrition. A feeding formula for parrots will suffice for now. Good luck.

I am sorry for your loss. Cats, opossum, & raccoons are all very adept at hooking & pulling a small bird thru the cage bars. You must protect your birds with a strong enclosure. Perhaps you can build a box using strong lumbar & wire cloth. Otherwise, bring your cages in at night to protect your precious birds. Thank you for using Boop by Petco.

When wild animals no longer try to escape from humans, it generally means they are very sick. You may go online to see if there is an Audubon society or a zoo that will accept wild birds for treatment. Try to keep it warm and in a safe location. Put trays of food and water nearby. Offer birdseed and some fresh fruits and greens. Keep in mind, birds are very fragile and it may not make it. Best of luck and please feel free to post any additional questions.

I am not sure what foods you have available in your area but my favorites are Lafeber Nutri-Berries/ Avi-Cakes and Mazuri small bird feed: https://lafeber.com/pet-birds/bird-food/classic-nutri-berries/ https://lafeber.com/pet-birds/bird-food/avi-cakes/ http://www.mazuri.com/mazurismallbirdmaintenance-2.5lb.aspx Fruits, vegetables and greens should account for approximately 20 - 25% of the daily diet. Avocado is reported to be potentially toxic so avoid feeding this. Fruits and vegetables must be washed thoroughly to remove chemicals. Cut them into manageable pieces depending on the size of the bird. It is not necessary to take the skin off. Offer fruits and vegetables in a separate dish. If your bird appears to develop a particular fancy for one food item, reduce its volume or stop feeding it temporarily to promote the eating of other foods. Treat your bird like a small child; offer a small piece of a variety of food items daily and never stop trying. Hope this answers your que

Hello. Depending on what species the birds are, it may be hours before the parents return. The best thing to do if you do not see any activity around the nest is to call a wildlife rehabilitator. Here in the US, there are many bird loving people that have the time & experience to raise baby birds. It is a huge commitment. If nothing like this is available in your area, then you may need to raise the birds. They need to be fed every 2 hours from dawn to dusk. I use a mash of pate type dog food & chick starter. Use a small wooden dowel or stick, & gently tap the side of the beak. That usually stimulates the bird to open up. Then you place about a small pea sized piece of food down the throat. The babies must be kept warm with either a heating pad or a brooder lamp. There are also many videos available to help. Go to YouTube & type in caring for orphaned baby birds. Good luck.
