I had bought this for my pet Budgerigar/Parakeet, Tink, upon adopting him; Only to find that the seed (Fruity blend, though from other reviews and slight experience, I’ve noticed similar patterns with different seed.) would get completely stuck in the back of the feeder. It would be stuck there for days without me knowing; and Tink would peck at it to try to get food out, but nothing would dispense into the tray. I had to dislodge the food myself to have it flowing out properly. This issue was unfortunately quite hidden and unpredictable, given that sometimes the structure of the feeder would work, but most of the time it did not; hence resulting in Tink’s passing today. Even with proper care, checking, and cleaning, this product resulted in the death of my bird. I’d highly recommended buying your feathered friend a different feeder.

I have several parakeets and am always afraid one will escape while filling their food bowl and one of my cats will pounce before I can catch them....this food bowl is filled from outside the cage! I only wish it were larger/wider...but it holds a lot of food!

I agree with all the bad reviews; it's flimsy, difficult to remove, has like 6 different fragile pieces which can get confusing to assemble, and doesn't come with a perch, and doesn't alight well with the bars of the cage. But my biggest issue is how it wastes seeds. They fall between a gap in the bars and go everywhere. When I clean the cage I can see that 50% of the mess is un-eaten seeds. I have to refill it every day, and I only have two budgies.. It's wasting my money.

Nice little feeder. It's a little hard to click it into place, but once it's on, it's very sturdy.

The idea is great but it is a terrible design! It is very difficult to install, refill, it leaves gaps for seeds spill out, and unit is very fragile. The food is supposed to fall into the food dish but seeds spill everywhere because of gaps. It will not work on a cage with thick wires or vertical. It does not "Fits all bird cages - vertical & horizontal bars" as stated in description. I have tried it with 3 different cage types: Lovebird, Parakeet, and Lady Gouldian Finch bird foods. You will have to supply the birds a perch for them to access food. It has been retired to bin with products that looked but weren't. Definitely would recommend.

This feeder has enabled me to go on trips and not worry about my parakeets. My neighbor can simply refill the feeder from the outside of the cage, and I don't have to worry about him sticking his arm in there to reach for food cups, scaring the birds and potentially letting them escape! I can put as many as I want on the cage. I love this feeder and thank the inventor of it!
