Reptile thermostats help you keep your cold-blooded friend warm and cozy. Reptiles are unable to regulate their body temperature, they will rely on the temperature and humidity of their habitat to keep them comfortable.
A thermostat helps regulate temperatures for heat maps and cables. These devices are important to prevent accidental overheating and maintain proper temperature of your reptile's habitat.
Ideally you should be aware of the ambient temperature of your habitat, as well as the temperature of the warm and the cool end to ensure your reptile has an appropriate gradient as needed by their species. Humidity gauges are best placed near the center of the habitat and midway between the ground and top.
As some reptiles are diurnal while others are nocturnal, a timer can help ensure your reptile gets the exact number of hours needed of daytime and nighttime temperature and lighting without requiring you to manually turn it on and off.

Whay can i do about my hachling iguana over heating
Fancy leopard geckos need light. If I keep the red light on 24/7 as directed by, what should the temperature be?
I have a leopard gecko and it seems that the temperature in the tank isn't getting to what it needs to be. I have a heating mat and a thermostat and i have the heating mat highest up to 93 degrees. But the air inside on the warm side is only like 79 degrees how do I fix this I know that heating mats are the best for them but it isn't making my tank warm enough. Also, I know that heat lamps aren't the best since they aren't basking animals. So what should I do to make it warmer?
What is the best way to heat hedgehog cage with lamp?
Is this a good setup for Nighthawk, the first photo is the over all setup, the second one is the side view and the third is the water and calcium dishes. I use an under tank heater that stays at about 88 degrees Fahrenheit and the vines are fake. He has a warm hide and a cold hide with moss in it that’s i spray down every other day. The little box is another little hide that I can see him in. And the background is tile it paper rolls that were painted(they were left to dry for two weeks)
Is my set up ok for my beardie and I’m thinking of getting a background picture to add. I have a uvb light, a baskin lamp, a ceramic heat emmiter for night, a thermostat and two thermometers one on each side
How much greens should I feed my red eared slider with pyramiding and soft shell at a time.Should I feed both pellets and greens together in a day?Which heat lamp brand do you recommend and how many watts should I buy if the lamp is 21 cm away from the dock?
I have three red eared sliders and I was wondering how do I encourage them to bask? What temperature should their enclosure be both in water and basking platform?
Just wanting to know am I able to use a reptile heat lamp for newborn puppies??
What is the best way to treat reptiles mites?
How do I know if my snake is overheating ? I got a new heating mat today and I’ve noticed that it’s getting out of its hide to the other side more often than usual but he doesn’t seem to stressed or anything he just lays half his upper body there without any movement and his over half still in the hide. (I’ve also notice him laying on his water but not really soaking in it just on the edges of his water bowl)
She shed this morning and she's eating Repashy as a main diet. 21°C and 65-85% (depending on time of the day) hydration. She "hugged" my finger with her tail and it felt as strong as usual. Last night I forgot to spray down her tank (45x45x60cm exo terra). She's eating as usual and moves around the tank as usual. Can I do anything to help her and identify the situation or should I take her to the vet?
