The device stopped functioning days after the purchase. It was poorly packaged and the suction cup was not reliable.

Thermometer works well but the suction cup did not stay very well and my curious turtle would knock it off too quickly.

Aquatic digital thermometer works great, only thing that bothers me is the suction cup to mount it to the tank is weak

No issues. My turtle detaches it from the glass sometimes and it is durable and accurate.

Tried this one for my RES tank. The suction cup lost it's "suck" after about a week. Couldn't get it to stay on the side of my tank. Then after about 1 month, the battery died, replaced it, and then after about 1 more month, the whole display was unreadable, wouldn't read a temp.

Have been through two of these so far, neither one lasted a month. Not water tight. Stick with probe style digital thermometers.

Battery compartment was not waterproof so the battery corroded and it is garbage after 2 months.

I bought two of these thermometers in July 2015. One lasted for about 3 weeks before it completely died. Tried new batteries and nothing. The second one has been going strong until a week ago. Normally, when the digital display would dim I knew it needed another battery- but once the battery was replaced it was fine and running like normal. Last week I noticed no display at all and even after trying a new battery nothing. It failed just like the first one. I spent $20 on two of these at Petco yet the stick on ones I got for a few bucks years ago are still working fine. While the one worked I did like it because it was easy to just glance and see digital readout, but I can't see wasting my money on something knowing its only a matter of time before it fails ( could be three weeks, three months, 10 months- who knows?) Would not recommend to others as it is unreliable and only a matter of time till you're back at square one and need a new thermometer (or two) for your aquatic turtle/s.
