I’m looking into schooling to become a vet tech. Can a vet tech ever be required to directly administer euthanasia in Arizona?
Rayne had a biopsy done for a mass cell tumor (biopsy was benign). Stitches did not hold and staples were put in the left ear. A vet tech told me to put Entederm on staples 2X a day. Vet is out of town. I have a concern about moisture causing staples to move up and infection. Was the vet tech correct with these instructions
Teddy got fixed the day before yesterday, and he has been very high energy, and has been eating fine. His gums are pink and showing no signs of pain, but it looks like his stitches are inflamed or coming undone. We took him into the animal ER and the tech said it was probably nothing to worry about so we went home. How do you think it looks? We put the cone back on and I have been doing warm compresses.
Does the Nutri-Vet Pet-Ease Cat Paw Gel work to maintain urinary pH for struvite stone dissolution and prevention? My cat has a past history of struvite stones (8 years ago) and doesn't eat the urinary SO diet (wet or dry) She is a picky eater and will only eat the blue wilderness salmon high protein wet food when I gave her options. But, I read online that some pet owners have used regular high protein wet food in addition to this nutri-vet or other dl-methionine supplements.
my poor mini daschound has been scooting fiercely on the gravel and has caused a bad rash around her anus and under her tail i took her to the vet a tech looked at her i explained the vet had first said it was pancreatitus we treated that. then ear rashes and scooting started they said allergy to gi food and put her on kangaroo food . Her scooting is now more severe and the rash under her tail the tech should be fired for not seeing the rash!. please help me
My pet had a seizure like thing yesterday. Today we had taken her to the vet. He did a heart x-ray. He said the VHS is 12.6. My pet was very nervous and scared when we were handling her during the X-ray. She was breathing very loudly and in speed because we were holding her legs and face. Is the high rate in VHS because of that? What is the estimated VHS for Labrador retrievers. Is it dangerous? Is the high rate in VHS because of her being nervous? I'm extremely worried and scared. Please help.
My pet has very high levels of BVN and creatinine ( 116 mg/dl and 5.9 mg/dl respectively). Is there any natural way to recover? Done with alot of medications but no recovery has been seen.

I have two happy male society finches in a cage approx 3 feet long and 14" wide, 24.5 inches high. Can I add a 3rd male. There's one that has been in the pet store for months. Awful. Tiny cage.
Leo was given Lasix around 150ml through saline. Blood reports says creatinine - 9.3 which is very high and wbc is also high. Vet says kidney failure. He was not able to pee and poop. But from today after few injections and saline he has started pooping and peeing but finds hard to eliminate. As a pet owner wat extra care shld we take of him at home other that medical treatment. He has became very week and lost in appetite. Please suggest
