Don’t waste your time on this very cheaply built system. The wire constantly broke. Collars had static noise. High Tech did refund, so that was a plus. We bought ours through Costco.

I would give zero if it was an option. The signal only works when the collar is touching the wire. It went through the test phase totally fine, and so I proceeded to bury 500 feet of wire, only for it not to work. SO DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED doesn’t even begin to explain how I’m feeling.

From what I can figure out \you can not turn down the intensity of the shock just the range of the parameter. I know I have a whimpy dog but she weighs about 50 lb and it pretty much sent her into shock and took here awhile to go back outside. I would hate to see what this would do to a little dog.

It's been working great! We ordered the high tech pet humane containment system, and our pupper has been staying home! It only took about a day for her to learn, and now we are looking forward to purchasing ad ons like the barrier pad and the pet door that locks when the dog is away from the door.

We bought this system to replace one we had been using for the past 10 years. This is an easy to install system and our dog is not having any problems adjusting to the new collar. We chose this system because the collar is rechargeable and the corrections start out mild. So far our dog is turning back without needing the more intense level of correction. I also like the fact that we can buy accessories to limit access to furniture in the future when I buy that new sofa I’ve been wanting. The only problem we had was that Petco had said we would receive shipping notification via email once the order shipped. We never received any notification. I was able to reach Customer Service and was given a tracking number. ( I guess I was anxious to receive my purchase.) That being said, I still recommend the system and buying from Petco.
