I thought my two green-cheeked conures were supposed to really like red millet seed, but when put side by side with hulled oats, they devoured the hulled oats and seemed to eat the red millet only as an afterthought. Therefore, this time around, I ordered 5 lbs of hulled oats and no red millet.

looks great but needs "gel"
If applied without gel it looks great during the day time but when the aquarium light comes on it would look dull. Since I read not so good reviews on the SeaView gel I'll take a chance and use "baby oil". Will update in a few months. Wish me luck.

The cockatiel in our flock eats this stuff up
Couldn't get Oat Groats locally any more, so I went to the old standby, Drs F&S. They call it hulled oats, but Attila, the cockatiel, doesn't know the difference--she loves the stuff.
The seeds from Drs F&S arrived w/in a few days. They seem fresher than what I was getting, and no moths have appeared.
Attila seems healthier. She has extra energy to fly around the house (which is good since she rarely eats anything but seeds), and she's laying eggs again after going two years without any.
I recommend Drs F&S hulled oats for small psittacines.

- Gold finches love the thistle seed but I never see them as ground feeders. Hanging feeders, prefer a sock, their attractor.

can you use the seascape aquarium background inside a saltwater tank?
- these do not go INSIDE the tank, they stick to the outside of the glass, on the back.

Water resistant
- I would suggest anyone who wants to add a seascape to the inside of a tank to think it through. How would you attach it without any harmful problems to your tank? Once algae has built up on the seascape inside the tank it could cause a form of poisoning to the tank due to the chemical makeup of the seascape. They are best applied to the backside of the tank on the outside. They are easily removed for cleaning and reapply without any damage to the seascape or the tank.
