Dog Water Toys

My puppy has been playing with his food bowl and water bowl for a while now, he broke his first bowls. I bought him new ones, but he just keeps on playing with them. Water is clean and he likes his food, so I don't see a problem. How can I make him stop?

My dog LOVES to swim but he always gets water in his ears. I clean his ears good when hes done. But,I know it's not good for him. Any recommendations to keep the water out of his ears when he's swimming? Also how cold is too cold for him to get in the water? Thanks

Three German Shepherds. 9 yr old male,his off spring son who's 3 and the mother who's 7 The males,rarely take more than a few sips of water each day.
