My cat poops in the bath tub. I tried 2 litter boxes. I tried keeping water in the bath tub (which made mold). Even with water in the bath tub, she stopped using 2 litter boxes and started dropping her poop right out side the box. People have suggested changing the litter (World's Best). What would be the best litter to use. She is 7 and may have chronic pancreatitis. Thank you.
I've been taking in a stray cat for several years on and off. He has been increasingly pooping in my 1-bed apartment with increasingly worse consequences. Won't use litter box & is sometimes unable to help himself, it's uncontrollable diarrhea. In the last week, he's gone all over an entire room twice, & today laid in a poop puddle 10-15 min. I'm unemployed, I am not allowed to have cats & am risking my apartment. Bottom line is, sadly he has to go. Is there any solution other than euthanasia?
I’m sorry to continue this way, but needless to say, all my money is going to vet bills. I asked about litter previously (one cat on chemo, two cats not, cannot be separated) and the wonderful person that responded that as long as I’m cleaning the litter regularly, things should be ok. Does that mean scooping the litter? Or throwing out every bit of litter multiple times a day. Obviously with clumping litter I get as much as possible when I scoop but I can’t guarantee I get 100% of it.
We have moved and our cat will come into the room we are in, look at us and defecate. We have tried different litter and we clean the litter box daily. He urinates in the box and has not been urinating in the house. We are ready to throw him outside. (not really) This has been going on for about a month.
Hey there! I've got a large Ragdoll (we think) cat that is roughly 10 years old who stopped using his litterbox for anything other than urine starting about 6 weeks ago. Always at night, when we're asleep, usually every 2-4 days, he goes on a binge poop, dropping of "presents" (ranging from hard/dry to wet/soft) on our front porch mat, my office rug, the hardwood floors along a wall, by the litterbox, on the rug by his feeder. No changes to clean litter situation or diet in over a year.
My 10 yr old neutered Siamese cat leaves little poop squirts around the house (leftover poops from the litter). How do I remedy this?
Hi, I find myself having to vaccum the entire appartment twice a day because of my cat's litter spreading everywhere as soon as she does her business and exits the litter box. This is too much maintinance especially when I only have one cat. I have a litter matt and a big closed litter box to minimise spread of litter but still this happens everyday. As a result, would you be able to recommend the best no-tracking/low-tracking litter for my cat?
My cat recently had two foreign body removals from eating things when we aren't at home. Our only solution is to cage him when we leave the house. In the cage there is a sheepskin bed for him to sleep on and a plastic box filled with litter. As soon as he gets in the cage, he hops in the litter box and stays there. We come home and he's still in it. Is there any risk of infection or problems from him doing this?
I have 2 older kitties. One is 18, has had 2 strokes over the summer and he is blind. He has issues with his balance now and with getting in and out of the litter box, therefore when he gets in the litter box he tends to pee right there, then immediately turns around and gets his paws in it and it clumps in his paws. I constantly scoop after both cats because of this, but it is an issue for him when no one is here to clean it off right away, and it hardens in his paws, what pellet can we use?
I recently lost my only cat to FIP and am considering getting another cat or kitten. I soaked his litter box, scoop, dishes, litter mat and food mat in hot water and bleach as well as used a disinfecting cleaner to wash the floor of the room he was in. I put his bed in the washer machine with detergent and hot water. Question is, what can I do to disinfect his cat tree, window perch, carrier, and scratching post?
My cat has been pooping outside her litterbox for a couple of days now. I have had her checked and treated for parasites, the litter is fresh, box cleaned, size is perfect, as she is still somewhat small. Dr. Davis, from here, recommended using another box, but she is not pooping at the same spot, she picks different room/spot each time. Would taking the poop and placing it in her litter help? So as to show her where she has to poop? I'm helpless in this. Also, she pees in the litterbox.
My cat uses the box to pee, and some times to poop. But he also has bowel movements that are wet gaseous which he only drops outside the box. It is becoming a sanitary problem.
