The Litter Genie Plus Silver Pail features an antimicrobial that inhibits odors caused by bacteria. Great but a bit clunky

I really like the litter genie and this is my 2nd one but when I pull the handle the poo doesn’t slide down into the bag unless I really shake the entire bin. Not sure what the issue is? The handle pulls all the way out, and once I shake it around it does go in but it’s a pain!! I’d love some advice as my old one didn’t do this.

I bought Litter Genie Plus and it was great for 4 months until I needed to refill bags. Standard refills DO NOT FIT!! And who knew litter genie doesn’t make Plus Refills. I can’t find them anywhere, including the Liiter Genie site. The lid won’t close with a standard refill. So save your money and try something else. Wish I knew this before I wasted money on it.

I've been thinking about this cat litter disposal system for quite a while and just decided to go with it. I'm so happy I did! I like the ease of putting the clumps in the top, and then pulling the handle so that they fall into the bottom of the container. No smell, no mess! I also ordered a jumbo supply of replacement bags, because I think that the initial bag container that comes with the Litter Genie may not be very long, once you put a knot in the bottom and pull the bag toward the bottom. I just wanted to be safe, rather than sorry! So I have a lot of plastic bag length now, so I won't run out! I'm very pleased with the product and hope it continues to keep me and my cat, Ringo, happy!!!

I originally bought the basic Litter Genie, then my cat family expanded so I got the Litter Genie XL and it worked better for my cat's needs. It worked great and I recommended it to all of my cat owning friends. I have only had a problem recently and that is with the only Litter Genie refills available to me locally, which was the Litter Genie Jumbo. No matter how hard I tried, it would NOT fit into the Litter Genie XL so I had to go back to the original Litter Genie. The problem: it lasted longer but the shorter body of the original LG made me have to pull more bag to get all of the litter waste into it at the end. I spent more time cleaning up after the smaller LG and not being able to use my larger LG. The refill was longer but since I couldn't use it in the LG XL, it made MORE work for me. I will not buy the Jumbo refill bags again if I can help it. Just more work and problems than it solved. I really wish it would have worked in my Litter Genie XL but it just didn't, which is a shame.

I've had a genie for years and still love it. i attached a holder for the scooper on the side. no mess and no smell and easy clean up. i love the dispersing bags and the included cutter for when the bag is full. i really think they thought of everything, i can't think of any added feature to improve the thing. i have 3 cats using my one litterbox and i empty the genie about once a week.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I haven’t had to take out the litter in 2 weeks - and yet - the litter box is cleaned DAILY! I was struggling really hard with cleaning my cat’s litter box daily. I just have the one cat (Ham) and, while he’s a large cat with daily scooping needed, I was wasting plastic baggies often as well as making daily trips to the dumpster. It got to the point where I only felt motivation to clean the litter box 3x a week max, which led to a very unhappy kitty. I can now clean the litter box daily! I just took the plastic bag out after having bought this litter genie TWO WEEKS AGO! I’m ridiculously delighted! My cat’s attitude is better! I can monitor his “daily duties” better, which was important to me being that he has had some past health issues. And, as a cherry on top, NO SMELL! I feel like a literal ad/spokesperson for this product but I love it SO MUCH and cannot stop recommending it. I wish I could give it more stars. I don’t know how awesome it would be if you had more than 1 or 2 litter boxes, but I love this product so much I’m going to buy another one (or maybe even two!) once I get more babies. 10/10!!!!

      Do you mean does it have a spot to slot the scoop into when not using or is it big enough to scoop right into. No it does not come with a spot to hold the scoop which my litter box itself has but it is probably big enough an opening for you to scoop and then pour the waste into it. Personally I pick up the waste with eco friendly dog poop bags, twist and then put the whole thing into the litter genie. Having this means I don't have to haul a stinky all the way downstairs and out to the garage every day, just once in a couple of weeks or more.

      Comes with a few bags. I don’t remember the exact amount because I’ve had this Jeannie for quite some time but yeah you’re not stranded where they just send you the product without having it be functional for you when you get it.

    After throwing the trash past the 14 days. Can I keep using the same bag? Can I wash it? Or should I get a new one?

      They are not individual bags. It is just one roll that you pull down from the dispenser and tie the bottom to make a bag. When it is full you open the cover and cut the top of the bag with the built in cutter. Tie the bag and throw out. Then pull down another. Sounds complicated but it is not. So to answere your question...bags are not re-useable.
