Very easy to use and keeps the odor in the Litter Genie. We foster cats and kittens for a rescue so we have a standard size and an XL size Litter Genie. I don't mind having to tie the bags on the original product, but this one is definitely easier to use. We can change bags in less than a minute. The only negative is the refills are pricy. The Litter Genie does make litter box cleaning better and easier.

I have the liter genie and it does EVERYTHING that they claim I LOVE IT!!!! and I highly recommend it to everyone worth the money!!! 👍🏻👍🏻

Great concept, but half the time the bags rip down the side, dumping cat waste inside the trash bin.

If you've been using a Litter Genie and thinking you're satisfied with how it works, let me tell you right now that you NEED this upgraded model in your life! I have two cats who eat prescription urinary care cat food, and I scoop their two boxes at least once every day. They don't void too much because of the high quality of their food, but they are also tyrants who love a constantly clean boxes. The first thing I love about this upgraded Litter Genie is the wide opening. You won't even know how incredible this is until you have it! I use a large metal scoop, and the wide opening makes it SUPER easy to hit the target and not spill any litter anywhere else. I've had plenty of early mornings where I'm just not in the head space to try "threading the needle" and getting all that litter waste into the tiny hole of the old model; this wide opening makes it a no-brainer to scoop and dump with abandon. The genie is incredibly simple to load: peel open the cartridge and pull out the length of one bag; slide the cartridge onto the shelf inside the bottom of the genie; flip over and pull the bag up from the inside and hook onto the pegs; close the lid. At first I had my doubts about the pegs holding tightly onto the bag, especially as it gets full, but it's been six months and I haven't had any slippage or spillage. I empty the bag about every 7 days, which gives me enough leftover bag to tie a knot. I've gone 10 days, but then you'll need a twist tie or something to close the bag. Once the bag starts reaching capacity, it will slowly start moving off the pegs, but really, you can tell it's getting full just from lifting the genie, and after a couple times of emptying you'll know how long it takes before you have to put on a new bag. Speaking of which, the replacement is SOOO easy. Pull out the full bag, then reach in and pull up the new one. With two cats, one cartridge lasted me 4.5 months. If you only have one cat (I don't know, I heard there are people like that), then yes, I think you could easily go six months on one cartridge, which makes this a great cost for value. There is virtually NO smell with the lid closed because there is a sliding shelf that blocks off the bag after you dump, so everything is kind of sealed underneath that shelf. Super easy and clean to use, and you're not getting your hands anywhere near the litter. I absolutely LOVE this new genie and the refills, and if there's any one thing I would change is to make this available in colors (hint hint I want a pink one) or make skins you can adhere to the current grey model, because my cats are fancy pants and like pretty things. Oh, and the genie does come with an attachment for the plastic scoop which is part of the genie set, but I don't use it because my metal scoop is too big to fit. Get this genie, get these refills, and make scooping the boxes just slightly less onerous. Big thumbs up!
