Phil Blizzard was looking for a natural way to soothe his dog’s anxiety during long thunderstorms. During one particularly loud storm, he somehow managed to wrestle his dog into an old t-shirt, and the animal immediately calmed down. This sparked an idea that eventually turned into Thundershirt.

Does the thundershirt really help dogs that are terrified of fireworks
My dog ozzy is currently behaving very sluggish. This is not like him. All he wants to do is sleep. He is not eating his food, treats or drinking his water. He is normally very hyper. We just bought him a thundershirt to help with his anxiety. Could this be the cause? Bought the thundershirt 2 days ago. He wears it for about 3 - 4 hours a day.
Could you please give me some advice on how to calm down a small goofball that is terrified of thunder? I'm not sure if I can find the Thundershirt here in Sarajevo. I might as well look into calming candles or treats. I'm heartbroken to see her like that. Thanks.
Have a newly adopted 2 yr old Pit Bull/Labrador mix. After 40 hours or so, He’s doing very well indoors, but gets extremely nervous when we take him for walks. He shivers/shakes and won’t stay out for more than 5 minutes. Am going to try a thundershirt- but would love some more advice on how to get him to feel more secure and confident.
Traveling with 10 month old terrier in RV. She is terrified of truck noise and now refuses to pee or poop. She had meds from vet, thundershirt, pheremone collar. Nothing works. She eats and drinks but no poop for 2 days. She pees once in a while. Not her first RV trip. Not sure what else to do. She cries and claws to get back in the RV when I take her out. She barks at everything outside-people, wind, nothing, and dogs. Pls help!
Hi! So my dog, who's an eight-year-old beagle/terrier mix, just moved in with me to the city from NH. I kennel her during the day, but all she does is cry while i'm gone- like the entire time. I bought some calming treats and a thundershirt, but she still is crying. I guess she still does it even when she has a kong with peanut butter and also a bully bone. She also has been getting sick, she has thrown up and today she threw up as well as had diarrhea, i don't know what to do
What are some meds I can use for my anxious and aggressive dog that will calm him down on walks? Does the thunderjacket really work?
What products do you suggest to help a dog with anxiety during fireworks or vet appointments?
My miniature schnauzer has been having a terrible time dealing with thunderstorms and I'm thinking of some anti anxiety medication for him to help. Any recommendations for over the counter meds that are safe for him or should I wait for a visit to the vet?
My cat has a bad phobia of thunderstorms. 4 years old but started this around 2 years old. she will hunch down during a storm and tuck her tail underneath her and if she moves to a different room she walks slowly as close to the ground as she can get. She will hid in the bathroom and if the storm is bad sometimes she will pee on the floor but won’t move when she does so it gets all over her and the floor. Tried calming callers and sprays and treats and thunder shirt. What should I do
Can you recommend a good calming pill or treat to give to dog at times of anxiety that will not make her drowsy or tired I want her to enjoy the adventure but other dogs and ppl if they come to close she starts going into panic modes with extreme barking and lundimg is there something you could recommend when we are out and in these situations that won’t cause her drowsiness?? also do you recommend a certain harness for control the easy walk rubs under her and causes her to Bleed
We are crate training our new rescue puppy and he keeps barking in his crate. He always seems to want to be right beside us instead of going playing with the other dog or sitting by himself. Should we invest in a thunder coat for him? or any suggestions?
