Phil Blizzard was looking for a natural way to soothe his dog’s anxiety during long thunderstorms. During one particularly loud storm, he somehow managed to wrestle his dog into an old t-shirt, and the animal immediately calmed down. This sparked an idea that eventually turned into Thundershirt.

Does the thundershirt really help dogs that are terrified of fireworks
Have a newly adopted 2 yr old Pit Bull/Labrador mix. After 40 hours or so, He’s doing very well indoors, but gets extremely nervous when we take him for walks. He shivers/shakes and won’t stay out for more than 5 minutes. Am going to try a thundershirt- but would love some more advice on how to get him to feel more secure and confident.
Hi! So my dog, who's an eight-year-old beagle/terrier mix, just moved in with me to the city from NH. I kennel her during the day, but all she does is cry while i'm gone- like the entire time. I bought some calming treats and a thundershirt, but she still is crying. I guess she still does it even when she has a kong with peanut butter and also a bully bone. She also has been getting sick, she has thrown up and today she threw up as well as had diarrhea, i don't know what to do
Loco is scared of thunder I've tried the thunder t-shirt but it doesn't help plus they are expensive. What can I give loco just to keep calm he weighs 9lbs ... What other options is there
We bought a thunder shirt for Hayden our boy will that work for thunder and lighting and fireworks, thanks
Princess has anxiety, she starts breathing hard, walking in circles and shakes when thunderstorms , fireworks or any booms happen. When she panics I try to keep her calm by petting her playing tv or music to distract her and walk to her it seems to help somewhat but I seen pills at petco/smart for calming will that actually work? What will the pills do? is the hugging shirt they sell a better option?
My dog has always been afraid of thunders and would whine even at the slightest hint of a thunderstorm. He would be whining all throughout inconsolably so. We tried calming treats, Thunder shirt, and the likes none work. And we don’t know how to help him. What can we do?
What are some meds I can use for my anxious and aggressive dog that will calm him down on walks? Does the thunderjacket really work?
My pet is very anxious during fireworks popping and thunderstorms. I have tried thunder shirts, putting her next to me and in her crate with a covering. It doesn’t help. What can I do to keep her calm during these times?
My dog has severe anxiety. What is some good products I can use to help during fireworks or grooming?
What products do you suggest to help a dog with anxiety during fireworks or vet appointments?
Bella is a new dog for us. She was being bred at a puppy mill and was rescued and put up for adoption. Unfortunately, she gets very anxious when she hears any kind of sound at all. Loud barking, crying, just generally going crazy. We have tried meds, Trazadone, Ativan, and a new generation antihistamine, Apoquel. That one is super expensive. None of this really seems to work. We also have a thunder shirt. Any thoughts about what you think we should do for her? Thanks.
