OH Moose sounds like quite the character. Unfortunately, some dogs are super picky. Other times, they need a little tough love. It sounds like you've already ruled out any possible medical issues so Moose must be picky, and you are super nice pet parents for catering to him. I find for some dogs its a taste or texture they don't like. But it sounds like you've tried them all and Moose keeps turning up his nose. I would recommend putting his dish down for 10 minutes, then picking it up and putting it away until his next meal time. Repeat. Feeding 1-3 solid meals a day like this will teach him to eat when the food is out. A dog will not starve themself, but they may need to get a bit snacky for the next meal to encourage eating. Also cut out ALL treats. Moose needs to learn to eat his food and not fill up elsewhere for the time being at least. My other recommendation for these picky eaters is to buy only small bags of food at a time. Less waste, but also some dogs are particular about

Piggerton is precious, but sounds like he may be a little naughty! Fortunately, pigs can be trained pretty similarly to dogs. Essentially saying "no" when you catch Piggerton doing something he shouldn't be, and diverting his attention with one of his toys. You can try a Bitter Apple spray on things you do not want him to chew. I hope this helps and wish you luck with your piggy!

There may be a period of adjustment for her, but she should be fine. Consider a pet daycare if one is available locally. Provide plenty of toys and possibly leave a radio or television on for her. Increased playtime and interaction when you are home would be recommended after the move.

Some dogs do get very excited about meeting cats, and don't realize how big they are in comparison - I can definitely sympathize! The best way to manage this is to keep Moose on a leash at all times around the kitten at first. Practice asking him to sit or lie down, and reward him with treats for being calm around her. It may take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks for him to be relaxed enough around the kitten to be allowed off-leash, so be patient! I would also definitely recommend keeping them separated for now unless someone is actively supervising their interactions.

I am very sorry to hear about your concerns with Moose. We can see young dogs who do eat foreign objects such as wood or fabric as a habit sometimes related to boredom, stress, or just as a habit. We do, however, worry in some cases that a dog could have a medical condition causing this appetite for foreign objects, called pica. I would recommend an exam by your vet, a fecal exam to ensure intestinal parasites aren't present and contributing to the issue, and possibly some labwork to check for signs of systemic disease such as liver shunt that can cause this appetite for foreign objects. Your vet can also tell you whether or not the diet you are feeding is adequate nutrition for your pup. In the meantime, I would only let him out when supervised so that he cannot ingest these objects, as sometimes they can cause an obstruction and require surgical removal.
