My pet mouse is sleeping alot, she used to be very active a week ago. She has a red eye, like the entire eye color, and wont eat. What is this?
Poor Moose! With a change in eye color I'd be worried there was an injury to the eye, infection, or something such as a cataract in old age. If she's not eating she may not be feeling well which can also be a sign of this. It would be best to bring her to your vet to have the eye examined in person, and any treatment given as needed such as antibiotics. Until you can get to your vet, keeping Moose warm and eating and drinking as much as possible, as well as keeping the eye clear and clean (if there is any discharge) may help.

Poor Moose! I'm afraid I don't know - none of these things would be expected as a result of exploratory abdominal surgery. I would recommend talking with the veterinarian who performed the surgery about why this might be happening, or seeking a second opinion from another veterinarian in your area who can review his medical records and do a physical exam as well as other testing that may be needed to help get some answers.

There are a number of things that can cause a dog to drink more and urinate more. Unfortunately, there isn't any way to know what is causing the problem without doing some testing. Usually the first test will be to have your veterinarian evaluate a urine sample. That may be able to tell us what is going on, but if it doesn't, then they may also need to check some blood work. I would recommend having your veterinarian examine Moose today to figure out what is going on with him, so you can start treatment and get some sleep tonight. Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Thank you for contacting Boop by Petco with your question. You aren't insane at all! Especially since you have experience with animals. Just introduce them slowly and it should be fine. I have an old Chow Chow (age 12) and three cats. She pretty much ignores the cats, but does share her dog bed with them and sleeps next to them. It should be ok! I hope this helps!
