Lovebird cages should provide your pet bird a safe and secure habitat. Always invest in the largest habitat possible with bars spaced no more than ⅜ inch apart to help prevent escape or injury. Flight cages are highly recommended for lovebirds to keep this active bird happy and exercised, especially if keeping a pair. Your lovebird should also spend time daily outside of their habitat socializing with you.
It is always best to purchase the largest habitat possible for these active little birds, but the minimum requirement for a single lovebird is 18”W x 18”D x24”H with bars spaced no greater than ⅜ inches apart. Flight cages are another great option for lovebirds. A properly sized habitat should be large enough that the bird can spread its wings without touching the bars or accessories while still having plenty of room for playing, exercise, multiple perches and toys.
Lovebirds kept alone will be more likely to bond with a pet parent, but they must spend significant time together each day. Lovebirds can be kept in pairs if they are raised together but caution should be exercised if introducing adult lovebirds, as they tend to be territorial.
All perches for lovebirds should be ½ inch in diameter, however a variety of perch sizes is recommended to help exercise feet and prevent arthritis. Sand or concrete perches may even aid in keeping nails trimmed, but only one of these is needed to ensure the bottom of your lovebird's feet do not develop sores.

Where is the best place for me to put my bird cage?
I am looking to get a bigger cage for my 2 year old conure. Currently I’m in the market to buy one online that is advertised as a “solid metal cage” coated with “non-toxic hammertone paint” which included stainless steel dishes. I was just was just wondering if this would actually be a safe cage for a green cheek.
What are the best type of perches for my two year old male black capped conure?
My Canary, Ringo, has a Cage that has a peaked roof, like a house. I have a chance to get a Flat-topped roof, larger cage. Which type of cage do Canaries like? I prefer the house-style cage, as it is more attractive. But, I realize Canaries don't know about their cage being attractive. Ringo would be able to fly more in the larger cage. Is the Peaked Roof just a Personal, Human Preference? And, Not the Canaries?
I Already have two budgies can i buy more budgies and can keep them in same cage
Suggest a online site for budgie toys so that my budgie can play with it
So I have three parakeets. The blue ones are both younger. I got a female for my blue male and then needed to upgrade to a bigger cage for them so I found someone who was selling a big cage wth a parakeet that came with the cage. He is green and is prob about 4 or 5 years old. When we got him he had a busted out beak. Where his left nose hole should be it was all crushed in. I think the younger ones pecked out his broken nose now don't no what to do
I just bought my son 2 canarys because he was crying to have a bird but our cat is so fascinated with them, she keeps trying to grab them through the cage openings her paw fits through there! I was thinking of buying them a different cage, would that help and what would make my cat forget about them because she has been standing by the cage the past 3 hours
Can I take a shower with a Amazon Parrot? What temperature range water is safe? Do I need to give them a cuttle cone? What to chew one? How often do I have to take them for beak/wing/nail trim? What size cage? It would probably be out a lot because I am home most every day. Only gone on Fridays. I want a bird that can do almost everything with me and not too small. About a medium bird? Any recommend birds? I’ve never had a bird but I know a few people that have birds. Right food? (See pic) thx!
Hello! I have a very big Cage with just three budgies. I'd like to but an zebra finch, but i want to know If I can put just one zebra finch with my three budgies (2 females, 1 Male). Do the zebra finch needs a pair? Can i put these two species together? Thanks!
I have inherited a female African Gray that is 32 years old. I have had her in a room with my Red Bellied parrot of course in separate cages. My sister is going to take the African Gray do these birds get attached to each other? they have been together for almost three years. Thank you, Sheri
Can I have a list on what to get and feed a amazon parrot. Also what size cage? Most like would be open if I were up there. Would it keep a bird awake if I had an audio book on in the room my bird is in at night? She would be covered. Would an amazon parrot fly out if my door was open? I am scared if I get a bird that a door would be open down stairs and the bird up stairs but a door down stairs would be open! Would that happen? Is this a big enough cage for this bird?? If not what size?
