My Canary, Ringo, has a Cage that has a peaked roof, like a house. I have a chance to get a Flat-topped roof, larger cage. Which type of cage do Canaries like? I prefer the house-style cage, as it is more attractive. But, I realize Canaries don't know about their cage being attractive. Ringo would be able to fly more in the larger cage. Is the Peaked Roof just a Personal, Human Preference? And, Not the Canaries?

Currently I’m in the market to buy one online that is advertised as a “solid metal cage” coated with “non-toxic hammertone paint” which included stainless steel dishes. I was just wondering if this would actually be a safe cage for a green cheek. The seller is YaheeTech, which is based in Ontario California but customer pictures show a box with "Made in China." Mostly 5 stars, with lowest rating be 3 stars. Is non-toxic hammertone safe?

Can I have a list on what to get and feed a amazon parrot. Also what size cage? Most like would be open if I were up there. Would it keep a bird awake if I had an audio book on in the room my bird is in at night? She would be covered. Would an amazon parrot fly out if my door was open? I am scared if I get a bird that a door would be open down stairs and the bird up stairs but a door down stairs would be open! Would that happen? Is this a big enough cage for this bird?? If not what size?

What size cage? It would probably be out a lot because I am home most every day. Only gone on Fridays. I want a bird that can do almost everything with me and not too small. About a medium bird? Hi my bird Angel might be pregnant and she is a parakeet and I bought her a little birdhouse/nest in her cage to use and she keeps going inside but I need to buy materials to put in it. I am going to visit family for a week and I have to take my bird with me. I saw online that it helps to get him used to the cage for awhile before trying to travel with him. I didn't know I should do that until now. It's only an hour away but I want him to be safe. Should I try to get him in a travel cage (which will be a challenge bc I don't think he would trust me enough to pick him up other than by perching) or use his regular cage? Any other ideas? I know to not have loose toys in the cage.

Indian ringneck injured trying to escape cage. Got stuck and I had to free him. Was bleeding from top of head and corner of mouth. Has stopped bleeding, still eating and maneuvering around cage but I can tell he is in some pain. No emergency/after hours avian vet in my area. However they will be open tomorrow I believe. I hope. He is a new pet and not too fond of hands. I've been working with him but forcing yourself on him makes him fight or flight. I dont want to stress him out any extra. Help
