Phil Blizzard was looking for a natural way to soothe his dog’s anxiety during long thunderstorms. During one particularly loud storm, he somehow managed to wrestle his dog into an old t-shirt, and the animal immediately calmed down. This sparked an idea that eventually turned into Thundershirt.

Does the thundershirt really help dogs that are terrified of fireworks
My dog ozzy is currently behaving very sluggish. This is not like him. All he wants to do is sleep. He is not eating his food, treats or drinking his water. He is normally very hyper. We just bought him a thundershirt to help with his anxiety. Could this be the cause? Bought the thundershirt 2 days ago. He wears it for about 3 - 4 hours a day.
will the thundershirt / anxiety help my dog/ 11 months old to stop peeing when excited or anxious when he is in trouble? He is a Border Collie Blue Heeler mix
It's thundering and raining here. So I brought Bella in an dark room with me and purchase on her favourite pink hoodie in order to make her feel a bit more comfortable. We don't have Thundershirt unfortunately. Was it a good idea? Am I doing it right?
Could you please give me some advice on how to calm down a small goofball that is terrified of thunder? I'm not sure if I can find the Thundershirt here in Sarajevo. I might as well look into calming candles or treats. I'm heartbroken to see her like that. Thanks.
Have a newly adopted 2 yr old Pit Bull/Labrador mix. After 40 hours or so, He’s doing very well indoors, but gets extremely nervous when we take him for walks. He shivers/shakes and won’t stay out for more than 5 minutes. Am going to try a thundershirt- but would love some more advice on how to get him to feel more secure and confident.
Have a 2yr old Jack Russell Beagle mix who is experiencing anxiety issues. This started about 2 weeks ago. When going outside to use the bathroom, she will tuck her tail and want to run home. She will go outside occasionally now when before she went all the time. I have tried using a thundershirt and a DAP collar but neither of these have given me any positive results. Do you have any other suggestions to help in resolving this issue? Any advice at all will be greatly appreciated.
Traveling with 10 month old terrier in RV. She is terrified of truck noise and now refuses to pee or poop. She had meds from vet, thundershirt, pheremone collar. Nothing works. She eats and drinks but no poop for 2 days. She pees once in a while. Not her first RV trip. Not sure what else to do. She cries and claws to get back in the RV when I take her out. She barks at everything outside-people, wind, nothing, and dogs. Pls help!
Hi! So my dog, who's an eight-year-old beagle/terrier mix, just moved in with me to the city from NH. I kennel her during the day, but all she does is cry while i'm gone- like the entire time. I bought some calming treats and a thundershirt, but she still is crying. I guess she still does it even when she has a kong with peanut butter and also a bully bone. She also has been getting sick, she has thrown up and today she threw up as well as had diarrhea, i don't know what to do
I have a cat that is over-grooming, she has bald spots on her hind legs, front legs and her entire abdomen. I've sent her for blood tests and everything is normal. usual vet says stress. So ive changed her food to more meat-based and wet types, bought a water fountain, a thundershirt and she is on anxiety medication. I have tried Feliway and have not noticed any significant changes. She is also not cleaning herself properly and doesnt seem to be losing any weight no matter what I try,
Princess has anxiety, she starts breathing hard, walking in circles and shakes when thunderstorms , fireworks or any booms happen. When she panics I try to keep her calm by petting her playing tv or music to distract her and walk to her it seems to help somewhat but I seen pills at petco/smart for calming will that actually work? What will the pills do? is the hugging shirt they sell a better option?
What are some meds I can use for my anxious and aggressive dog that will calm him down on walks? Does the thunderjacket really work?
