Horse has hot swollen left buttock with small lump in middle slightly protruding 5" from the dock. Horse dragging left toe of left rear. Seemed slightly better when walked out and given Danilon. Horse suffers from Cushings and tying up but has not tyed up today.
I was wondering if Percy can drink tomato, carrot, and chicken soup... it has tomatoes, carrots, chicken, egg yolk, and is infused with a bay leaf. (It seems like a lot
My black lab has been swimming a lot recently (we do competitive dock diving) and I’m noticing that her fur seems to be fading in color a bit and looking more brown on her body other than her dorsal line. Do you think it’s due to the chlorine in the pools? I’ve never heard of that in dogs.
My red eared slider is not basking even though I brought a uvb light for her just like one of the pet coach vets told me because he has soft shell.I place the light on top of a Zilla screen cover but she still don't get on.I can't really dry dock her because I have a hood for my uvb light. How can I make her to bask and is the Zilla cover okay for her?
I was washing my red eared slider's shell and I notice the last two bottom marginal scutes are soft and wiggly.I didn't use a lot of force because I was afraid it would come right off.She had soft shell before but I just don't have the money to take her to the vet.Can I do anything to make her shell better? She also don't bask often even though I have a light on a screen right on top of his dock but she still stays in the water most of the time.
We have a hound mix(Istrian shorthaired) that is very high strung and known to be aggresive to people and other dogs. She and her sister have blocked our neighbor onto his dock, but she was the one causing the most trouble. She has also attacked one of our other dogs on numerous occasions. We have only had her for two years but she can be very sweet once she gets to know you. We hope that we don't have to find her a new home or euthanize, but we don't know what to do. Please help!
How can I treat infections under Cooper's scutes?Do I scrub her or soak her because how am I suppose to get the betadine under her scutes if I don't soak her? Also I noticed the heat lamp is making the water warm because I put it in front where the water is.Now I put the heat lamp in the back and the UVB in front buy Cooper still be able to get UVB because the UVB is now in front directly above the water and not her dock?If I move the heat lamp in front it will make the water warm.UVB is the hood
I just discovered this bite on my 3 lb chihuahua at the base of his penis. It happened today. We are at our cottage (in the georgian bay area of ontario ) but the dog only walks on the mowed lawn or near the shore line. He does not go into wooded areas, he is simply too small. We have black flies, deer flies, right now, and in 10 years of living here never had a dog with a tick bite. Is this the first and should I be taking him to our vets? The red ring is concerning me. Thank you.
Hi there we were just dog sitting then turned into keeping him the owner gave us kibbles and bites for him which I assumed was his original food found out a few weeks later this was not the case Odin now is developing hot spots but not very large he has one small scab on his ankle and a few hot spots on his head I’m assuming this is caused buy his food I’m planning on Tuesday to start him on better food but in the mean time what are some things I can do to keep the spots at bay??

Dog has a patch of green slimy smelly skin right under her ear
My 5.5 yr old lab mix has what appears to be a clear fluid filled slightly scaly lump on his left inner ear. It is located directly next too the auricular cartilage. It started out small like the size or a pellet, but it has grown to about the size of a dime. I do have photos of it, and would like to share if possible. I'm sure he needs to see his vet, but just curious to know what it could be related too.
