There are many different options, but choosing the right bedding to cover the bottom of your finch's habitat doesn't have to be a difficult decision! A non-toxic, bird-safe option is a must, but from there choosing paper, pine, or other types of litter are all good options. An appropriate bedding should not only be non-toxic, but many are super absorbant to aid in cleaning as well as low-dust to reduce the risk of irritation to your bird and extra mess around your bird's habitat.

If loose substrate is not preferred, cage liners make a simple, easy-to-clean alternative and can be cut or folded to fit your bird's habitat. These liners are also absorbant of spills and droppings but make cleaning a breeze with easy removal and replacement.
