All of the Zymox products that I found are to treat irritation and inflammation, so they wouldn't be very good at prevention or specific treatment of infection. The best preventative would be a good ear cleaner 1-2 times per week or after getting out of water. I like Dechra EpiKlean Ear Cleanser as it is gentle and helps dry out the ear and remove debris. If you think that Wes already has an ear infection, then he would need have it diagnosed by a vet and get medications specific for his type of infection. Once cleared, you can continue with normal cleaning to prevent further ear infections!

Hi and thanks for using Boop by Petco! Sorry to hear about Sweetie. Unfortunately Zymox Otic HC contains enzymes and some hydrocortisone. It will help with itching, inflammation, and pain but will not treat ear mites. I would advise letting your vet take a look at Sweetie after getting a thorough history. They can then advise some diagnostic tests to evaluate what is going on with the ears. They can do an ear smear where they take some of the ear discharge, put it on a slide, and examine it under the microscope. Ear mites, bacteria, yeast, and foreign bodies can all cause ear infections/ear problems. Ear mites are contagious to all pets in the household so it's important to diagnose and treat that appropriately. There are topical flea/tick products that also treat ear mites and there are topical ear medicines which can address a variety of ear problems. Good luck with Sweetie.

Zeeke is adorable! Thanks for including a picture. I have a few suggestions for you. First, if your vet has not performed an ear cytology to look under the microscope at the ear discharge, that would be a good idea to evaluate for yeast or bacterial overgrowth since there is a slight smell to the ear discharge. If there isn't any evidence of an infection or overgrowth that needs to be treated, then you might consider a product like Zymox. It is available as a cleaner or a medication. I usually recommend the medication Zymox Otic with 1% HC if the ears are itchy. As far as food, I am attaching a couple of handouts below with more information on food allergies and diet trials for food allergies. https://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=652 https://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=2499 Food allergies are one of the most common reasons for ear problems, so I think changing foods is always recommended with ear problems. You could consider a hydrol

I had no experience with this product, but reading the list of active molecules inside and the reviews, it does not seem a very effective spray. I would suggest to have a prescription product dispensed by your local veterinarian. Hope this answer was helpful, but please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or by requesting a consultation if you have any more questions or to discuss it any further.

Hello. Lily does need a good teeth cleaning, but I do not see anything alarming in her mouth. She may need a few teeth removed, but more likely a professional cleaning is all that is needed. I would go to this website as it lists all products recommended by veterinary oral care specialists. You can see what foods, chews, toothpastes, & water additives are recommended to prevent further damage to Lily's teeth, & to keep them healthy after you can finally afford to have a good, professional cleaning done. Thanks for using Boop by Petco. https://www.vohc.org/accepted_products.htm
