My dog is on Simparica to treat mange but which topical solutions would be appropiate to treat and help with the skin scratches?
My cocker spaniel has awful issues with allergies. When she gets a flare up it starts in her ear and then becomes systemic through her sticking her paws in her ears and then licking her paws. We are now dealing with a yeast infection of her skin. Currently using malacetic shampoo to bathe her, but that doesn't seem to deter the growth. She has licked herself raw in areas. Last night we bought a hot spot foam and a collar to deter licking. Any suggestions on other treatments for the yeast?
My poor dog suffers from bad yeast infections in the ears. I can't get her to a vet for at least a couple weeks and I found this product online and I want to make sure it's safe to use in her yeast infection in her ears. Hendrix has a small collar sore. I washed it yesterday with medicated dog shampoo (antibacterial + antifungal) and then I put a thin layer A & D ointment on it. I did the same today. Is there anything else I can use to help heal it?. He’s in not in pain or doesn’t wince when I touch it or cleanse it. just reposting to add pictures Also I have goodwinol ointment. Btw the black thing is his leash just to coax him in the tub, it didn’t touch his sore but he’s collarless
Both my girl and boy have a ringworm. Her on the back of her ear. Him on his nose. I took them to the SPCA today and they said it's sometimes due to stress especially if an animal's just been spayed or neutered which Spencer was very recently. They gave me a lime medication to treat them with and I'm just confused as to whether I am to treat just the area or their entire coat. Watering eyes. Itching, hair has come out. Top of tail and down some. Thought mites. Put olive oil -had relief. Dogfood is Tasty Nuggets. Was having rawhide- and purina beggins. Pet Pantry said flea allergin maybe. Owner car wreck gone 7th month- gave. Stopped rawhide & was going to get new dogfood. Have insurance - but not outright . Used borax and peroxide rinse - said for relief mites or itch & gave relief- said once week.
