Hi and thanks for posting on Boop by Petco! If you are interested in creating a first aide kit, I would recommend including the following items: 1. Gauze pads and rolls 2. Medical Tape 3. Antiseptic spray 4. Hydrogen Peroxide 5. An ice pack 6. Medical gloves (either latex or non latex) 7. Lubricant (petroleum jelly is ok) 8. Thermoeter 9. Scissors 10. Tweezers 11. Cotton Balls and Q-tips. 12. Sterile Saline Solution For any of the above, any brand will be okay. First aid kits are meant to be a temporary solution until Jackie can see her veterinarian. I hope this helps!

Hi and thanks for using Boop by Petco! Sorry to hear about Sweetie. Unfortunately Zymox Otic HC contains enzymes and some hydrocortisone. It will help with itching, inflammation, and pain but will not treat ear mites. I would advise letting your vet take a look at Sweetie after getting a thorough history. They can then advise some diagnostic tests to evaluate what is going on with the ears. They can do an ear smear where they take some of the ear discharge, put it on a slide, and examine it under the microscope. Ear mites, bacteria, yeast, and foreign bodies can all cause ear infections/ear problems. Ear mites are contagious to all pets in the household so it's important to diagnose and treat that appropriately. There are topical flea/tick products that also treat ear mites and there are topical ear medicines which can address a variety of ear problems. Good luck with Sweetie.

Aw, what a handsome boy! I’m sorry the treatment didn’t give him relief. You can try a product, such as [Zymox](https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/zymox-spray-with-5-hydrocortisone), on the areas where he seems most bothered. Also, I would recommend a “no additive” cat litter such as [Yesterday’s News](https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/purina-yesterdays-news-unscented-cat-litter) or [Feline Pine](https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/feline-pine-cat-litter). It may be that his anxiety is contributing to his [over grooming](https://www.petcoach.co/article/excessive-grooming-in-cats-what-it-means-and-how-to-help), so you might ask your vet about trying him on a medication such as [fluoxetine](https://www.petcoach.co/pet-medication/fluoxetine/). If none of this helps, it may be best to consider a consultation with a [veterinary dermatologist](https://www.acvd.org/tools/locator/locator.asp?ids=16_Find_Dermatologist) to get as directly t

Yes, regular brushing can help with gingivitis. You may also want to check into using some Zymox Oratene products like the water additive and/or the veterinary oral gel. ( https://www.allivet.com/search.aspx?SearchTerm=oratene )

Hi there and thank you for using Pet Coach to address your concern. If it is a small sore then I would recommend using Zymox topical ointment twice daily until resolved. If it is a larger sore or the small sore does not get any better I would recommend having a veterinarian examine Garfield so that the most appropriate treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be happy to help you further!
