i gave my dog a 100mg tab of vetprofen. My vet did some dental work and told me to give him half a tab. Is this a major problem????????
My husky/malamute is on vetprofen for hip dysplasia and arthritis. It seems to help her, but I can tell that she wants to do more than she is able to. I ordered her an organic turmeric and curcumin supplement to take. I haven't received it yet, but I wondered if that is okay for her to take with the vetprofen. She takes 1/2 of a 50 mg tablet twice a day. She also takes: Trazadone (for anxiety/PTSD) Zoloft (for depression) Proin I hate giving her pills, but I want her to be healthy and happy.
I gave my dog a Previcox pill (half of 227 mg) a couple nights ago for sudden pain he was having after going to the park (he had FHO surgery couple months ago) He was still in pain so today the vet prescribed him Vetprofen 100mg to take for 15 days. I forgot to mention that he was given another NSAID recently and that you're not supposed to give 2 nsaids "together". I already gave him one VetProfen pill earlier. Is this bad? Im supposed to give his next pill now but dont know if i should
My dog has arthritis and was prescribed Vetprofen. I gave her one pill last night about 7pm for the first time. She was given a second pill this morning. She is only supposed to take one pill every 24 hours. She does not have any symptoms, but I am concerned.
Hi, I accidentally gave my 5 lb Yorkie his vetprofen 25 mg too early. I gave it to him tonight instead of tomorrow morning. We left the vet at 5:30pm. I am so worried. Will he be ok??
My dog was diagnosed with lymphoma. He had taken rimadyl and vetprofen. He now has a prescription for Prednisone. The vet said to wait 24 hours after his last rimadyl and then begin the Prednisone. Is that too soon to begin the Prednisone? I do not want him to have an adverse reaction but I hate seeing him so uncomfortable.
My dog had surgery today on his leg. He weighs 31 lbs and I just accidentally gave him a whole 75 mg Vetprofen. I didn't realize that I was only supposed to give him half. I was informed he was give a pain shot, but it might be best to go ahead and give him the pain medication tonight. Will he be ok with that dose?
Rainah hurt her front paw a month ago. Vet felt it was a soft tissue injury and prescribed Vetprofen for 2 weeks. She improved quickly but 2-3 days after she finished meds she began limping again. Seems to be worse in a.m. and sometimes later in the day it's hardly noticeable; she'll even run on it. At her age, it's very hard to keep her calm! Does it need more time to heal, or should I be worried that it's more serious?
Frankie was diagnosed with arthritis by our vet a few months ago. She was given vetprofen to deal with the pain, but I'm not convinced that all she has is arthritis. She's only 3- boxer-amstaff mix. Symptoms: Runs, but running turns into hobbling after awhile. After laying down, she has trouble putting weight on the leg. It improves after she's been walking for a few minutes. Recently, she sometimes will not put her foot all the way to the floor when leg is sore.
I have a 12 yr. old dog who is healthy except for arthritis which he takes vetprofen, tramadol and gabapentin to help control pain. There are many tick meds on the market and am wondering if there are any tick meds that are safe for him. I found a tick on him recently and am hoping to prevent further findings of those pests. I have read that 2 parts vinegar to 1 part water (with citrus oil for scent) is a tick deterent but am not sure if that will help.
My puppy whimpers or screams at random times. He is currently in a splint for a fractured right hind leg. He is on Hanapentin and Vetprofen. I’m not sure what could be causing his wimpedinh/screaming? We went to the emergency vet twice when the break happened, once to get examined and then to have the splint put on. We also went to the vet yesterday to check the fitting of the splint. I posed this question to the vet and was told it could need more padding. He whimpered later that night.
My dog has pneumonia, and we can't afford hospitalizing her. We did get meds(cerenia inj, and tab, ampicillin inj.,clavamox+ suspension, vetprofen, and two more injections). We brought her home and have put on a humidifier to help relive her mucus, as well as doing coupage. She keeps on going to the tile floor and laying down and I'm kind of concerned because the floor is cold. She is also shaking and looks like she's in pain. What can I do for pain and to make her eat, should she be on the tile?
