Vetprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) for treatment of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis in dogs, and control of postoperative pain associated with soft-tissue and orthopedic surgeries in dogs. Vetprofen works by reducing hormones that cause pain and inflammation in your dog's body. Vetprofen chewables come in a flavored tablet and are readily accepted and consumed on first offering by a majority of dogs.

I know Carprofen is a pain medication put is it for hip Dysplasia
What does this carprofen medicine is used for ? Also what does this means elimination is half life 8hrs ? Also my dog was having pain in his rear left leg he lift also sometimes so my vet prescribed carprofen for 6 days twice daily 100mg and his weight is 38 kg so does this carprofen has any side effect on liver and kidney ? My husky/malamute is on vetprofen for hip dysplasia and arthritis. It seems to help her, but I can tell that she wants to do more than she is able to. I ordered her an organic turmeric and curcumin supplement to take. I haven't received it yet, but I wondered if that is okay for her to take with the vetprofen. She takes 1/2 of a 50 mg tablet twice a day. She also takes: Trazadone (for anxiety/PTSD) Zoloft (for depression) Proin I hate giving her pills, but I want her to be healthy and happy.
