Hi. We have a 4 1/2 month old male Boston Terrier who suddenly had 3 seizures yesterday. We took him to the vet, labs were normal. He was started on antibiotics and phenobarbital. He’s been totally fine since. 4 days prior, he received his first Lyme shot. So, other options were discussed. Such as seeing a neurologist and having an MRI if he didn’t improve on meds. A bile acid test was also scheduled, but my question is how likely is it a liver shunt issue if his labs were normal?
