Sulfodene Dog First Aid & Recovery

My puppy licked his leg where I applied sulfodene 3 way ointment on a masquito bite he had scratched will it hurt him? I don't think he got a lot of it in his mouth but it was enough to smell it on his mouth, he's been playing and hasn't shown any signs of discomfort.

Our dog (appx. just under a year old) got a weird red rash like spot with a slight yellowish border on one his back legs (first picture). We thought it might be an allergic reaction to new shampoo or possibly a hot spot. We gave him a bath with his old shampoo and sprayed his legs down with sulfodene. The spot on his knee has not gotten crusty like a scab and has darkened up a bit ( second picture). Tonight we noticed a new bump on his skin, this time on his back, this one had blood (third pic).
