Royal Canin Veterinary Diet New at Petco

If a company such as natural balance has veterinary nutritionalists on staff is that the same as brands like science diet and royal canin? Also I've always though brands like science diet and royal canin are junk can you explain why this is or isn't true?

Can you please recommend a diet for a cat with Feline pancreatitis, currently feeding Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Sensitivity Control Wet food. He only eats wet food.

Can you use Hills Science Diet and Royal Canin foods together? My cats hate Royal Canin urinary care dry but love the Hills C/D urinary dry food and love the Royal Canin urinary wet food but hate the Hills urinary wet food. They only eat the wet once a day every other day. I’m concerned now because someone told me that using 2 different prescription veterinary diets makes the prescription diets useless. My veterinarian has never said anything to me about this & knows I use Royal Canin and Hills.

Dear Vet. My dog is on royal Canin veterinary hypoallergenic dry food since few months now. But today I noticed on royal Canin website that this food is not recommended for dogs with trygleceride and cholesterol high levels. However my dogs cholesterol was 316(H) 6months ago that was before I started with hypoallergenic. Now I am supper concerned. What should I do? Or what do you suggest.

Hi! Tony has been eating wet/canned royal canin aging 12+ , he’s 18 years old , and I wanted an opinion on this food as far as senior diets go. My vet had me try rx veterinary hills g/d canned food but he didn’t like it. is the aging 12+ a good senior diet option for a food lower in phosphorus and sodium? Thx!

Hi! Tony has been eating hills prescription G/D for a couple of months but has decided to not like it anymore. I’ve also tried Hills Rx J/D and Royal canin senior consult... doesn’t like those either. Can you recommend any other prescription senior diets? He always falls back on my other kitty’s Royal canin rx selected protein rabbit pea but that’s not really an appropriate diet for tony nor is it a senior diet. Thx!!
