Quick-drying, monthly topical solution that’s safe for cats and kittens.
See DetailsParasites can be a big problem for cats and their pet parents. Not only are bites and infestations annoying, but fleas, ticks and worms can carry diseases that can seriously impact the health and well-being of your feline. Revolution Plus offers a line of prescription topical parasite solutions that can help kill a number of parasites and prevent future infestations. Protecting your pet from parasites is an ongoing job, but Revolution Plus for cats can make it relatively simple and easy.
Many pet parents have found that—when used correctly and regularly—this flea and tick solution did effectively help their cat. Revolution Plus has also received positive feedback for the ease of application and the quickness with which the solution dries. However, your veterinarian will likely know the most effective solution for your pet.
You may have heard Revolution topical solution, but what exactly is the difference between Revolution and Revolution Plus? Both are made by the same manufacturer—Zoetis—and part of the same parasite solution line. Both contain the active ingredient Selamectin, but Revolution Plus also includes the parasiticide Sarolaner. This gives Revolution Plus for cats more powerful protection against fleas and worms and has the added benefit of protecting against ticks.
Put simply? In the matchup between Revolution vs. Revolution Plus, the latter offers more comprehensive parasite protection.
Revolution Plus needs to be applied once for a whole month’s protection against fleas, ticks and worms. Flea and tick season lasts about three months in the summer—when your cat will be at a higher risk of coming into contact with these parasites. In most parts of the country, a standard three-month supply should be able to last you through this season.
However, you may live in a heavily wooded area or a region that has a larger-than-average flea and tick population. In that case, your veterinarian may recommend using Revolution Plus for longer periods. At Petco, we offer your cat Revolution Plus in quantities of 3, 6 and 12 treatments depending on the needs of your feline.
Many pet parents have found that Tetra Water Clarifier. helped them clear their cloudy freshwater aquarium water. It’s safe in soft water conditions—the dosage may vary depending on how soft—and can help clump particles together so your filter’s regular operation can remove them. Their line of Tetra pond fish treatments also includes a water clarifier that has helped satisfied pet parents clear their murky outdoor ponds. However, Tetra fish products offer a satisfaction guarantee for their water clarifier, so you can contact them for a refund if the results do not convince you.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION: The safe use of Revolution Plus has not been established in kittens less than 8 weeks old or in breeding, pregnant or lactating cats. Reported side effects in clinical trials included lethargy and anorexia. Use with caution in cats with a history of neurologic disorders. Revolution Plus contains sarolaner, a member of the isoxazoline class, which has been associated with neurologic adverse reactions, such as tremors, ataxia, and seizures in cats with or without a history of neurologic disorders. In humans, Revolution Plus may be irritating to skin and eyes See full Prescribing Information at RevolutionPlusPI.com.

I have seen evidence of tapeworms around my cat’s rear. She was on Revolution Plus Orange but accidentally ran out. I called my vet and talked to an assistant who said I needed to get her back on the Revolution Plus. My question is since I’ve already seen the worms will the Revolution Plus kill what I’ve already seen or is it only preventative? Does she need a different medication to kill what’s already in her system & then start the Revolution back?
Can Capstar and the topical Revolution Plus be administered at the same time? We have read oral and topical flea products can be given together, but Revolution Plus is topical that goes internal...?
Drontal Plus is supposed to be for dogs. what if i give Drontal Plus to my cat? Merrill (my cat) has Revolution and Drontal then she isn't protected from whipworms as she would be with Drontal Plus?
I live in Australia where there are paralysis ticks. I treat my cat with revolution & popantel, can I also use frontline plus for tick prevention with revolution? If not what can I use?
It is ok if my dog is on Revolution for me to also use Adams Plus Flea and Tick collar?
I have my cat frontline plus on aug 1st but it's not working can I switch to revolution now or do I have to wait to 30 days to apply it
I administrated Frontline Plus to my cat a couple days ago, he was taken to the vet this morning and the vet didnt know and gave him revolution. Will he be okay?
My new, 3-month old kitten came with a lot of fleas. I washed him with Dawn dish soap a week after applying Revolution Plus. Does the flea medicine no longer work because I washed him with dish soap?
I use Revolution on my cat monthly. The vet used to give me Revolution Blue...but this time I was given Revolution Purple. What is the difference between the two??
kitten on second dose of revolution - looks like tapeworm - sesame seeds where she is sleeping ? will homeoPet cld work ? Can it be given 2 weeks after last revolution treatment 2 weeks before next revolution treatment ?
My cat gets frontline plus once a month consistently all year long. No fleas all year till this past friday. This weekend I have remover with flea comb a few live small fleas and flea dirt. His last frontline was sat 9/28/19. Is it safe and beneficial if I start him now ( 10/7/19) on REVOLUTION? We live in nj and he is about 22 pounds. He is an inside outside cat. Also, if results on revolution are the same, can he then be put back into frontline. I'm scared of these chemicals.
My vet wants me to book an appointment to get revolution. I can't afford the vet appointment and the revolution treatment. I found an 8 pack online from canadavet.com for $150.00 CAD. Is there anything particularly unsafe about me skipping the vet and buying revolution myself online?
