I have had amazing success using a product called Fresh Patch. You can order this online easily. This product has its own website and it is delivered to your address via autoship every couple of weeks. It is basically a patch of grass in a box with an absorbent pad underneath. The clients of mine that have used this have said the puppy automatically began using the patch and others had to physically pick up the puppy and put it on the patch several times before the puppy is trained. I would give this a try and see if this works for you. Taking your puppy out on a regular basis and praising will also help reinforce good bathroom habits. I hope this helps!

Hello and thank you for using Boop by Petco! Well your dog me step in the mud and track dirt into the house, going out in the rain isn't going to hurt him. I would certainly be cautious where you're putting him as he is so young and vulnerable to other diseases from other dogs. One technique that I recommend to my clients with young puppies is to use a patch of grass on the patio. If you live in an apartment, this is very handy. I would recommend a product called Fresh patch. You can order a patch of grass at various sizes and put them on your patio or inside your house. It is an actual square of grass which would also teach your puppy to go on the grass. I hope this helps! Please feel free to contact me with any further questions that you may have.

If you can't get her to go inside, you can take her outside and use a pad under her. Try to use an area with a hard surface as opposed to grass or soil in case she misses the pad. A hard surface is easier to decontaminate than grass or soil. After she is done, you can sanitize the surface using a diluted bleach solution. If she will go inside, use the pads and dispose of them accordingly afterwards.
