Real Nature seems to be a very high quality food, it is not one i am familiar with but the ingredient list is quite impressive. if he is doing well on this brand i would probably stick with it. other excelent options include Orijen, Acana and taste of the wild.

Natures recipe is a good brand but if he is still having issues you may want to talk to you vet about putting him on a prescription GI diet like science diet I/D or purina EN. If you are concerned he has food allergies, then I would stick with grain free but I would also look for a diet that doesn't have chicken like natural balance venison and sweet potatoes. A lot of dogs are allergic to chicken and beef. If you haven't had his stools check for parasites, campylobacter, and giardia, I would have your vet do that. It is not normal for them to have diarrhea so if it continues, I would certainly have it looked into. Your vet may want to do blood work and x-rays on top of the fecal. You may want to bring him a fecal sample as it is sometimes difficult to obtain a fecal sample when they are having diarrhea. Finally, you can also start him on a probiotic. I like purina fortiflora or propectalin paste. I hope this helps!

I personally prefer Nutro. It tastes good so dogs and puppies like it and in general it is lower in calories so it's an excellent food to stay on lifelong without becoming overweight. I find a brand I like, and that my dog likes, and I stay with that brand for the life of the dog. I do not like switching brands all the time, it can cause stomach upset and make fussy eaters. I go from puppy, to adult, to less active if needed, then senior all in the same brand. Nutro has excellent choices in all of the different age categories. Thanks for using Boop by Petco to help you care for Sienna.

Every dog is a little different and you may have to experiment a bit to find the food that Roscoe tolerates the best. I don't know what your budget is, or what is specifically available in your area, but here are a few brand options: Natural Balance Taste of the Wild Merrick Canidae Most of these brands offer grain free treats as well. You can use Natures Recipe, Purina One or even Purina ProPlan. They all have salmon based formulas. I put the links to them in the answer for you also. I do recommend glucosamine/chondroitin for dogs, typically over 6 years old but any dog can always benefit from it. It can only help. https://www.chewy.com/natures-recipe-grain-free-salmon/dp/36660 https://www.chewy.com/purina-one-smartblend-true-instinct/dp/119199 https://www.chewy.com/purina-pro-plan-savor-adult-shredded/dp/114028 Thank you for using Boop by Petco.
