Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your question. If Oreo used the carpeting you put down, it would be a great idea. However, most cats will not use the rugs when you put them on the ground and most cats land so lightly when jumping down that it should not be a problem. You can try the memory foam mats and see if he will use these when jumping off from things. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.

Molly may have gotten scared going up and down the stairs when her cone was on and now, even though the cone is off, she is still fearful. Try working with her by just doing 2-3 steps at a time and using positive reinforcement, like giving her a special treat and lots of praise, after each step. Once she is used to doing 2-3 steps you can slowly increase the number of stairs she's going up. One other thing to consider is that her hesitancy to go up the stairs may be related to pain in her joints or neck. If you try slowly encouraging her and that's not working you may want to have her evaluated by your vet. They can do a full orthopedic exam and possibly X-rays to make sure there are no bone or joint issues.

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! I would ask your Veterinarian for an oral sedative for you to give 2 hours before travel. I would use the Feliway spray in his carriage. Once you arrive at your new home, he should be kept in a room by himself away from the other animals for a week then use a baby gate at the door for the him to see and greet the other cat and dog. Do that for a week, then remove the gate. be sure he has access to this room to run away if he needs to. This room can be your bedroom. Use the Feliway diffuser in this room. If there is aggression between the cats use the Feliway Multicat I wish you the best! https://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=37241 https://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=37240 https://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=37242

Without an exam, it would be hard to provide suggestions. If Marley is having trouble with jumping, ramps or doggy stairs onto objects can help him get up and down without worsening any pain or inflammation. You can also try using a sling or towel to support him to see if it helps with his mobility at all -- if it does, looking into a wheelchair may be a good option then.
