My 3 y/o female Pitt was rolled down 3 concrete steps by my 18 m/o male Pitt. She sometimes acts as if her left is asleep. Since this incident, she hasn't been leaping and bounding. That was her thing. She is avoiding jumping on the bed and into the truck (Mercury mountaineer). How long does bruising take to heal? Help please, this is my baby girl. Thank you.
My dog has been favoring his right rear side when sitting on his haunches or getting up. The past few days, he has not been putting a lot of pressure on his right rear paw but he doesn't appear to have any pain even though I press and massage the entire leg. He is still able to go up 3 flights of stairs and jump on the bed but doesn't exhibit his typical leap up; even when jumping into the back seat of the car. He doesn't seem to have a lot of stamina either so just doing one short walk per d
Hello , I have a puggle ( pug beagle mix) who is about 14 years old. Every now and then , her back legs get stiff and she limps or theh give out when going up the stairs. I haven't taken to the vet yet because it's good for awhile , then she has one bad day then back to good . But I was looking into a hip joint supplement and was wondering if that is something I can give her without consulting my vet ? Thanks
I just adopted Tchai and noticed that her paws are very rough and yellowing. What can I do to help?
Because my home is under construction my dog steps in cement now he has wound in all four leg, how can i treat him?
Have a spunky new rescue chihuahua mix and she is skittish. So much so she will resist any efforts to trim her nails. We have 4 dogs so I have trimmed nails hundreds of times--but with Ricki Ricardo, no luck. I sit on the floor and flip them over and cradle them between my legs. My wife distracts them with peanut butter on a spoon. Besides going to a groomer or vet, any ideas? I thought maybe a groomer table might help. Are there premium nail cutters of higher quality than store bought?
14.5 yr old lab healthy except for osteoarthritis. had erlychiosis 3X, 2X hospitalized, in 2015. pretty stiff walking, does not do stairs, have to lift her to car. on glucosamine/chroin for 5 years, rimadyl 100mg for 3. big problems laying down, circles several times, sometimes aborts her lay down and walks away, or gets halfway down and falls the rest. laying down harder than getting up. good appetite, bowel and kidneys fine. what to do? change NSAID? add tramadol? what is best supplement?
My dog when trying to get on the couch or having to put his weight on his back legs he cries. He is 2.
Good Evening, I just noticed that my dogs paw is red on the pads. She is limping like it hurts. It’s only on back paws. I’m in NY visiting from NC. It’s not bleeding just red and irritated. What can I get to relieve her. Should I purchase gauze and ace bandage? Please help!
My 3yr old pit bull randomly started having pain in a rear leg while jumping or climbing steps but wants just fine. She was playful then 30 mins later the pain started . Anyway to tell what it is without going to the vet ( I will if I have to)
My dog suddenly couldn't climb the stairs. within 2 weeks she was dragging her rear legs unable to use them to walk. She hasn't been out of the backyard. so she hasn't been in an accident. Can hip dysplasia be sudden onset. What else coul d be going on.
