I’m considering adopting a dog that had been wondering the neighborhood for over a month. Thanks to animal control he was trapped and taken to the shelter. He was microchipped but the owners are going to surrender him. I have always had small pets and am hesitant to adopt this year and a half 68 lb lab mix. my concerns are; Will he get along with my 10 lb chihuahua, how do I train him from jumping the fence...that’s how he got lost in the first place. And is he too old to kennel train? tkx
Hello my name is Karina Camba, I have a dog of the RaTerrier breed, his jone is Jax and he is seven months old. We got him three weeks old. He came to help my family mainly to me and my daughter Luanda, to combat depression. But we would like to certify you as a companion dog, but for this he needs to be trained either by us owners or by a professional. I wonder if you offer this service, how much does it cost? Are you certified? What's the location? Comes home? Thank you very much for your atte
6 1/2 months I have my first dog, Kyro , a rescue that was abused and abandoned, half Labrador and Pit bull, 2 1/2 years old. How do I break the habit of chasing Motor Vehicles? A trainer recommended stopping, sitting and a treat which I find a nuisance. Considering E-collar but not sure how! Soon as he sees the vehicle approaching he has the need the chase. Headlights or noise Motor Vehicles create during rain or snow makes the situation worse. In parking lots, he attempts to bite the bumper.

Caleb is my mastador and he is almost 11 months old. He is very sweet when sleepy, but when he’s not, he is a terror. We exercise him every minute of our day and if we are not outside, maybe rain, he ATTACKS. Like bad. I’m 11 and study dogs and dog training. I go to shelters all the time, but still, am not able to get Caleb to behave. Any advice? Thanks, -Sophie
How to name train my 8 weeks female dog
I need help with my dogs behavior
My two six month old pups are labs they have recently learned to jump our fence, (4ft), and since have become to escape every chance they get. I thought punishing them by putting them in kennel when they return home, no treats, securing they on leash while outside, and staying outside until they completed their business and bringing them back into kennels. I'm at a lost at this point. I have extended the fence, I have blocked areas I know behavior is occurring... nothing is working.
My dog has SEVERE separation anxiety. I have to kennel her when I leave the house, but despite crate training her as a pup, she never got used to the kennel. She has tried to break out and hurt herself, she salivates to the point where she gets soaking wet and dehydrated, and she hyperventilates. I've tried thunder shirts, calming aids, and tons of crate training. Nothing works! What do you suggest I do? Is there a prescription that might help her? We're both desperate!
