I’m considering adopting a dog that had been wondering the neighborhood for over a month. Thanks to animal control he was trapped and taken to the shelter. He was microchipped but the owners are going to surrender him. I have always had small pets and am hesitant to adopt this year and a half 68 lb lab mix. my concerns are; Will he get along with my 10 lb chihuahua, how do I train him from jumping the fence...that’s how he got lost in the first place. And is he too old to kennel train? tkx
I need help with my 11 month mastador TERROR.
6 1/2 months I have my first dog, Kyro , a rescue that was abused and abandoned, half Labrador and Pit bull, 2 1/2 years old. How do I break the habit of chasing Motor Vehicles? A trainer recommended stopping, sitting and a treat which I find a nuisance. Considering E-collar but not sure how! Soon as he sees the vehicle approaching he has the need the chase. Headlights or noise Motor Vehicles create during rain or snow makes the situation worse. In parking lots, he attempts to bite the bumper.
Can you tell breed of Max
Kalon is a beagle mixed She barks and snips at the vet bites Getting her nails trmed with the vet is a no no at this time She was adopted 1 month ago beat and burned please where do I go? Thank you Susan Fuller
Our 10 month old German shepherd, Max, is very aggressive with his possessions, especially food, toward our senior chihuahuas, Baylee and Bruizer. We brought him home when he was 8 weeks and doesn't seem to be getting any better. At his current weight of 111 lbs, I'm afraid Baylee and Bruizer could be seriously injured if not killed. Do you have any suggestions? I'm thinking seriously of giving him to a family that doesn't have other pets Thank you
I have 10 puppies of 6 month old staying 3, 3, 4 in each kennel I changed a diet and each pup is taking turns in derrhoe one after the other is there medication I can give?
I need help with my dogs behavior
Caleb is my mastador and he is almost 11 months old. He is very sweet when sleepy, but when he’s not, he is a terror. We exercise him every minute of our day and if we are not outside, maybe rain, he ATTACKS. Like bad. I’m 11 and study dogs and dog training. I go to shelters all the time, but still, am not able to get Caleb to behave. Any advice? Thanks, -Sophie
Hi am 13 and i am looking for a first time dog ( dont mention a retriever ) I will gove my lifestyle and please give name me a breed: I am busy My dog will primarily stay outside in a well clean comfy dog house Excercise is no problem I prefer a medium or large size I want a natural guardian I want a family dog I will be the primary trainer I need a short or medium coated dog I go to school I need a dog with low seperarion anxiety I will give it the training and the attention it needs
My dog has SEVERE separation anxiety. I have to kennel her when I leave the house, but despite crate training her as a pup, she never got used to the kennel. She has tried to break out and hurt herself, she salivates to the point where she gets soaking wet and dehydrated, and she hyperventilates. I've tried thunder shirts, calming aids, and tons of crate training. Nothing works! What do you suggest I do? Is there a prescription that might help her? We're both desperate!
Senior dog is staggering and falling
