Many dogs develop osteoarthritis in their later years, which can significantly affect their quality of life. Help your dog resume its happy and healthy lifestyle with Galliprant for dogs—a first-of-its-kind prescription pet medication that targets inflammation where it begins. The chewable, flavored tablets are tasty—making ingestion easier and stress-free. In a matter of hours, your favorite four-legged friend will experience reduced discomfort and get back to being their loveable selves.
Galliprant—a prescription dog arthritis medication—treats pain and inflammation due to osteoarthritis. Galliprant is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug—NSAID—that blocks specific inflammatory substances from being produced in your dog’s body, treating the pain exactly where it starts. Unlike other arthritis NSAIDs for dogs, this medication isn’t as hard on the liver or kidneys, making it a great choice for your pet.
Galliprant typically starts easing your pup’s joint pain in 1- to 2-hours, so they’ll be back to feeling more like themselves in no time. However, if Galliprant doesn’t seem to be working quickly or isn’t effective in easing your dog’s arthritis ailments, try one of our other prescription pet arthritis medications.
Galliprant for dogs treats pain and inflammation due to osteoarthritis—a chronic and common joint disease that breaks down the cartilage between a dog’s bones, causing them to rub against each other. This can lead to permanent joint damage and inflammation, and can make it harder for your dog to do the things they love—playing fetch, going on walks and being ready for any adventure.
Galliprant does not typically cause seizures in dogs; however, if your pup shows any concerning side effects, be sure to consult your veterinarian immediately.
Because osteoarthritis is a chronic condition, your pup may need to take Galliprant for a long time. The drug is approved for use for extended periods of time, per your veterinarian’s advice, but long-term monitoring is recommended. To protect your pet, use the lowest dose that gives them the most comfort. The typical dose is 0.5- to 1-mg per pound—ask your veterinarian for a Galliprant dosing chart if you need more information.
Your dog might show signs of tiredness after taking this medication. Other Galliprant side effects may include vomiting, diarrhea and decreased appetite. Consult your veterinarian to ensure that using Galliprant for dogs effectively treats your pet’s symptoms and isn’t negatively affecting your pup.

My 12 year old 72 lb dog takes galliprant and MSM for osteoarthritis. Galliprant costs $100.00/month. Now my vet sold me GABAPENTIN so she takes GabaP, galliprant and MSM each day. gabapentin is only $10/per month. Why is there a $90 dollar price difference between the two meds if they both target osteoarthritis pain? How does gabapentin work differently from galliprant to relieve pain or do I really need galliprant since she started gabapentin and is more entergetic than on galliprant alone?
Can I give Sofia (9-10Ib dog) cefpodoxime 1/4 of 100 mg & galliprant 1/2 of 20 mg. on the same day? Is galliprant be given on full or empty stomach?
Which is better for my dog's arthritis previcox, meloxicam, or galliprant?
Is it OK to give Galliprant at the same time as Denamarin?
Galliprant vs Deramaxx. Which is better for my dog? He's been on Galliprant for 3 months and I'm not sure of any improvements but no harm either. My new vet recommends Deramaxx but she didn't know about Galliprant, which concerns me. I am scared to give Deramaxx to my dog because of bad reviews online. My dog has healthy liver and kidney and I don't want to ruin it. My vet doesn't know if he is actually in pain. Deramaxx may or may not do anything to help. I am very scared of the side effects.
Can you tell me if galliprant is available in the UK? I can't seem to find it.
Hey, Freya got her teeth removed, she is one clindamycin twice a day and half a 60 mg galliprant once a day. I accidentally gave her two half's of galliprant today one am and one pm like 10 minutes ago, I just realized when i re read the labels. Will she be okay? Do we need to go the er vet?
Question for vet. Just for general information. Can galliprant be given the same day or time as Tramadol? In case the pain does not subside?
Dog was given Previcox a couple years ago, gave him severe stomach issues and had to take him to the vet. He is having some pain in neck and back and Vet suggested Galliprant due to his kidney issues. What are the chances that if other pain med made him sick that Galliprant will? I am afraid to give it to him because he is feeling so bad I don't want to make him worse with a huge stomach upset?
My 18 year old Pekingese woke up can’t stand up and crying he has arthritis In his back legs he’s on synovi g4 and has been on galliprant for two weeks how can I help him
My dog has joint pain. She was prescribed Galliprant and Tramadol. I’ve read that both medications show results within 1-2 hours. Should I give them to her together? Would morning be best? Or the night? Thank you!
Our english bulldog is on meds for nerve pain and anti inflammatories (galiprant and gabapentin) now has pneumonia and it is with aspiration. They gave him simplicef and anti nausea meds said to stay on gabapentin but stop galliprant is there anything else we could do
