All Absorb or Four Paws training pads are excellent pads. Both are very absorbent and have a protective layer to minimize or eliminate messes or staining. This is my own opinion. You may be able to purchase them at your local Petco or at www.petco.com.

Watch the level of play! If your puppy is getting increasingly aroused, then STOP play for a few seconds and then give him a toy. This technique will prevent your puppy from reaching the excitement level of play where he starts the nipping behavior – by preventing this escalation you are successfully preventing this intolerable behavior. · Another great option that is highly recommended in addition to the above suggestions is to enroll your puppy in Puppy Preschool – these classes provide an ideal avenue to introduce both you and your puppy to the most modern and humane ways to socialize your puppy to be a valuable member of the family! What NOT to do: · NEVER punish your puppy by hitting, slapping, flicking on the nose, putting fingers down his throat, pinching lips, kicking, or any other physical means, as this will NOT solve the nipping problem. Punishment such as this will only make the problem worse and will instead encourage fear or aggressive behavior in your puppy. · Punishment

Sport dog is a good brand with several levels of correction. This will not be effective for chewing unless you are always there to correct her. If she chews when you are not home there is no way to know or enforce or correct this. For any training you have to ask them to perform something they know, such as sit. If they do not do it you push the button. If they do well then you reward them. Keep them on a leash while training. When you ask them to come, you pull the leash. If there is no interest then you correct them. They will learn to associate the two things together quickly to respond

Your best option is to work with a professional trainer. Some puppies are harder to manage than others and the trainer can provide not only guidance but also teach you techniques for how to get Bailey to act the way you want her too. These behaviors are not unusual for a puppy but training does need to begin ASAP and remain consistent. You must also make sure to meet all of Bailey’s exercise and mental stimulation needs or her behavior is not likely to improve. Reading about behavior and training will also be beneficial. Stick with trainers who utilize positive reinforcement techniques. There is a trainer named Victoria Stilwell who has written several books and I recommend to read them. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

Personally, I love interactive toys. I recently had a trainer work with my dog who focuses on brain games vs. physical activity, and he's done very well with that! One thing you can easily do, is when you get home, take handful of kibbles or small treats and just toss them into the back yard. Then he has to go and find them. This is very easy to do, and will tire him out of sure. Toys that I like are the kong wobbler, feeder balls or treat dispensing balls, the pickle pocket, the everlasting treat, and even a good old kong toy stuffed with some frozen fresh ground peanut butter (avoid any peanut butter with xylitol of course), greek yogurt, or pumpkin. My one dog doesn't really like the kong wobbler or the treat dispensing toy because he gets frustrated very easily. You'll just have to do a trial and error with Leny. My puppy really likes the treat ball and the kongs, as does my older guy. The older, more frustrated guy, really likes the everlasting treat ball as well. I order a lot of
