Thanks for visiting Boop by Petco. I really like the following products for small dogs: Simparica (30 day protection per pill), Nexgard (30 day protection per pill) or Bravecto (90 day protection per pill). They all also do tick prevention as well and are flavoared, so they are relatively easy to give because your pet thinks its a treat. Ask your veterinarian if these are available at their clinic, becuase different clinics carry different products in house. i hope this was helpful! Best wishes and take care.

The easiest way to do so is to go to your veterinarian and either buy the chews from him or get a prescription from your vet and get them over the internet. I am assuming you are looking to buy either Bravecto, Simparica or Nexgard. These are prescription only.

There are several products effective against fleas and ticks that you can buy over the counter. They are in form of topical spot-on pipette that you apply on skin (for example Frontline, K9 Advantix), collars (Seresto, Killtix) or tablets (Nexgard). If you search online you will find many shops selling these products. Alternatively, you should be able to buy them in pet shops or at the vets.

The most effective options currently available for flea/tick control in dogs are oral medications, including Nexgard, Bravecto, and Trifexis/Comfortis. These are prescription medications, so you would need to get them from your vet. If you need over-the-counter options, K9 Advantix and Seresto collars are both reasonably good options that work well for many dogs.

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! There are many great medications on the market to prevent fleas and ticks. I like the oral medications that the dog just eats. Nexgard and Simparica are monthly and Bravecto in one chewable pill ever THREE months! There is also a great collar on the market that lasts for EIGHT months called Seresto. You Vet is likely to have at least one of these products. I hope this helps! Good luck!
