Advantus (imidacloprid) soft chews are a fast acting treatment of flea infestations on dogs and puppies 10 weeks of age and older weighing 4 pounds or greater. These flavored chews start killing fleas within 1 hour with just a single dose. In the event of continued infestation, you can safely repeat treatment as often as once per day. Keep away from children.

What "flavor" are these chews?
Can this be used alongside nexgard?

- Its really as needed, these are not tablets... they are chews, like treats. The meds only stay in the dogs system for a short time. I use these because my dog is sensitive to foods/meds and I don't want to use a month long treatment that stays in his system. If I notice a flea on him or he starts scratching then I give him a chew. They start working within a hour, I have used these for about a year now and it works really well for him. (note: he is an inside dog, he is not a total outdoor dog)

Can this be used in conjunction with a topical monthly medication like advantix? My dog has a bad flea problem right now and the advantix we use just isn't holding up.
- Yes - this product is meant to kill the majority of fleas on the animal right away, but IT ONLY LASTS 24 HOURS. You HAVE to use a monthly medication - like Advantix - to maintain and control the fleas after. You can also give this pill daily for flea control. Give the pill, wash the pet in original blue Dawn dish detergent to further kill and wash away the fleas, then use the monthly control product the day after.

- According to the manufacturer, on the box it clearly says not to give it to cats.

Once a day for how long? It is not stated in the directions. Please help.
- This product will kill all the fleas on your dog BUT it will not prevent other fleas from getting on them. You will have to use this product each time your dog gets fleas. This is "hands down" the best product I've ever used to get rid of the fleas on my dog, its too bad they don't make it for cats also.
