Advantus (imidacloprid) soft chews are a fast acting treatment of flea infestations on dogs and puppies 10 weeks of age and older weighing 4 pounds or greater. These flavored chews start killing fleas within 1 hour with just a single dose. In the event of continued infestation, you can safely repeat treatment as often as once per day. Keep away from children.

I have a frenchie that is 26 pounds. A whole chew was too much for him and caused bad diarrhea. 1/4 of it does the trick.

PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE! I purchased this item as a last resort. My dog is usually on nexguard. Within the last year she has needed allergy shots and the vet at petco give her Simparca because for whatever reason they don’t offer Nexguard. Well the perscription kept getting canceled online 3xs and my dog was so itchy and uncomfortable. 350$ at the vet and i got these over the counter. Within 10 days she lost hair around her eyes, neck, paws, groin

Here in Texas it's been Hot and Humid for months. The backyard where my Min Pin goes to potty and romp has been a flea paradise! We've had exterminators treat the yard but a few days later the fleas are back and my Lil guy is miserable. Flea collars and powders do nothing! A neighbor with 3 dogs had been dealing with the same problem and was spending a fortune as was I going to the Vet to alleviate the misery our beloved dogs were going through from fleas ! A friend told her about Advantus so with some skepticism she tried it and it worked so well she told all her friends and neighbors about this product. I've been using it for 5yrs now and no longer does my Lil sidekick whimper in misery and I'm not going broke at the Vets !

I bought this a month ago and there is no improvement, fleas still here. does the company have any warranty on this product? paid $65 dollars if it worked that would have been great but it did not work!

I bought this product for my dog who is just under 100 lbs and preceded to give the dog all of them medication each month until it was gone and she has more fleas now that she did before I started the medicine.

They can have as many as one a day or if you don't notice anymore fleas, I would just stop giving them until you see another outbreak.

Its really as needed, these are not tablets... they are chews, like treats. The meds only stay in the dogs system for a short time. I use these because my dog is sensitive to foods/meds and I don't want to use a month long treatment that stays in his system. If I notice a flea on him or he starts scratching then I give him a chew. They start working within a hour, I have used these for about a year now and it works really well for him. (note: he is an inside dog, he is not a total outdoor dog)

Can this be used in conjunction with a topical monthly medication like advantix? My dog has a bad flea problem right now and the advantix we use just isn't holding up.

Yes - this product is meant to kill the majority of fleas on the animal right away, but IT ONLY LASTS 24 HOURS. You HAVE to use a monthly medication - like Advantix - to maintain and control the fleas after. You can also give this pill daily for flea control. Give the pill, wash the pet in original blue Dawn dish detergent to further kill and wash away the fleas, then use the monthly control product the day after.

This product will kill all the fleas on your dog BUT it will not prevent other fleas from getting on them. You will have to use this product each time your dog gets fleas. This is "hands down" the best product I've ever used to get rid of the fleas on my dog, its too bad they don't make it for cats also.
