That is the generic form of Clavamox. You can buy it as long as it matches the prescription from your veterinarian. You may need your vet to write a prescription for generic Clavamox. Contact the pharmacy beforehand to confirm they will fill it generically.

Hello and thank you for reaching out to Boop by Petco. Love Saki’s name! You are correct in your calculation, but 250 mg is not too much for Saki. Clavamox is only available in certain tablet sizes, including 125mg and 250mg. We never want to under-dose antibiotics, so we will often round up to the next best tablet size. As long as Saki is taking the antibiotic with food, GI side effects should be minimal. I hope this is helpful!

three quarters of a tablet every 12 hours would be appropriate. Please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or by requesting a consultation if you have any more questions or to discuss it any further.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Daisy. That medication is typically administered by mouth. I am not aware for a formulation of that particular medication that is made to go in the ear. I would double check with her veterinarian on Monday, but in the meantime do not apply it to the ear. I hope this information helps!

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! 300mg clavamox twice daily is an appropriate dose for a 37 lb dog as his 250mg metronidazole twice daily. Together these antibiotics work well for both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria. I hope this helps and I wish Hazel a speedy recovery!
