my cat has an ear infection, would this be effective for that?
- No, this medication is not usually prescribed for ear infections. You should take your cat to the vet so they can see what type of infection in order to prescribe the correct medication.

I purchased a bottle of clavamox from my vet. it is supposed to be 62.5 mg once the water is added. How many ounces would that convert to.? The bottle I paid $45.00 for was less then half full, and the white squeezie measurer was gone.
- 62.5mg = 0.0022 ounces. Our bottles are always less than half full so I believe that is normal. We give our cat 1ml twice per day and it lasts 7-9 days I believe.

What is the proper dosage for amox-clav oral (liquid form) for a 65lb dog?
Cat drools after he is given medicine. He had an abscess and was prescribed Augmentin suspension (200mg amoxycillin/28.5mg potassium clavulanate per 5mL). Dosage is 2mL twice a day. He doesn't drool while eating or drinking water, just after medicine. Is it a bad reaction to medication?

Remi was prescribed clavamox i was looking online and found amoxicillin trihydrate and clavulanate potassium for half price is this the same as clavamox from everything that I have read it says it is. Our vet prescribed Amoxicillin for a possible uri. Her dosage instructions were 1/2 dropper full daily 2x/ day, which is 1ml/day. The bottle states 1ml=50mg. However, the bottle (and online) says 5/10mg per pound once per day. So the bottle instructions max dosage would be 20mg for our 2lb kitten. Which instructions should i follow? The bottle or the vets, even though the vets recommended is 2.5x the dosage instructions. Thank you

My dog has a UTI. She was prescribed Clavamox for 10 days. According to everything I found on the drug information sheet, the dosage is 6.25mg per pound twice a day. She weighs 24lbs so that would be 150mg twice a day. Her vet put her on 250mg twice a day. Is this too much? I am looking for a second opinion on this.
Hi, our dog Guinness had surgery yesterday to remove a cancerous Seminoma tumor under his bladder. I noticed that after he took his antibiotic this morning- Clavamox 375mg in tablet form- he didn't seem like himself for half an hour to an hour. Very lethargic and didn't want to get up. Before that he was up and walking, urinated, ate and drank. He's eaten, drank water and used the bathroom since as well, but is 375mg the correct dosage for a 40lb dog? Thank you!
