Clavamox is given orally. Always follow the dosage instructions provided by your veterinarian. If you have difficulty giving the medication, contact your veterinarian. my cat has an ear infection, would this be effective for that?
- No, this medication is not usually prescribed for ear infections. You should take your cat to the vet so they can see what type of infection in order to prescribe the correct medication.

I purchased a bottle of clavamox from my vet. it is supposed to be 62.5 mg once the water is added. How many ounces would that convert to.? The bottle I paid $45.00 for was less then half full, and the white squeezie measurer was gone.
- 62.5mg = 0.0022 ounces. Our bottles are always less than half full so I believe that is normal. We give our cat 1ml twice per day and it lasts 7-9 days I believe.

Cat drools after he is given medicine. He had an abscess and was prescribed Augmentin suspension (200mg amoxycillin/28.5mg potassium clavulanate per 5mL). Dosage is 2mL twice a day. He doesn't drool while eating or drinking water, just after medicine. Is it a bad reaction to medication?

Hi, our dog Guinness had surgery yesterday to remove a cancerous Seminoma tumor under his bladder. I noticed that after he took his antibiotic this morning- Clavamox 375mg in tablet form- he didn't seem like himself for half an hour to an hour. Very lethargic and didn't want to get up. Before that he was up and walking, urinated, ate and drank. He's eaten, drank water and used the bathroom since as well, but is 375mg the correct dosage for a 40lb dog? Thank you!

Last Monday vet gave Bella clavamox for "subjectively" enlarged lymph nodes after dental. Was on clindacure for 7 days, vet wanted to try liquid clavamox. After first dose Bella was not herself, not interested in treats and was coughing and wheezing after. I stopped and haven't given since. No more issues at all. (Did tell receptionist when called to check on Bella). Is it worth trying the clavamox once more or just keep her off? Also, how long is that mixture good for in fridge?
I have a very sick 3-4 week kitten. Our shelter vet prescribed .45 ml doxy once daily and .015 clindamycin injection BID. This is day 7 of foxy and day 3 of clindamycin. She doesn't seem to be improving. I've heard bad things about doxy and asked the vet about switching but she insists on doxy. She refuses to eat and I have access to clavamox but our vet wont give me a dose to switch her and the shelter wont pay for her to go to another vet when we already have one. Should I switch her anyway?
