Watering eyes. Itching, hair has come out. Top of tail and down some. Thought mites. Put olive oil -had relief. Dogfood is Tasty Nuggets. Was having rawhide- and purina beggins. Pet Pantry said flea allergin maybe. Owner car wreck gone 7th month- gave. Stopped rawhide & was going to get new dogfood. Have insurance - but not outright . Used borax and peroxide rinse - said for relief mites or itch & gave relief- said once week.
Looking for pills/vitamins/medicine recommendations for my dogs excessive shedding. He has a corn, soy, chicken and wheat free diet I bought him a shed defender aswell. And I brush his teeth and fur everyday. I am looking for ways to prevent EXESSIVE shedding.
Riley has what seems like very dry skin lately, she itches and chews at her side/legs/ears a lot. We have tried giving her fish oil and coconut oil, as well as Benadryl, to help with the itching and re growing hair she chews out. are there any product recommendations to help with her itching, or growing fur back?
Hi, I need advice for some good supplements or something else for skin and hair,my cat's fur looks fine but is very thin,he doesn't have his usual winter coat (all my cats are with very big winter coats, only his hair is not enough), since some days he scratches his body a lot and today I found little bald spot on his tail,I use Salmon fish oil but it doesn't help much, the only hair supplement that helps him content only liver and glucose, and I don't know if it's safe for daily long use, thanks.
What does a hypoallergenic diet contain for a 4 year old male cat?
I believe my 8 year old male cat has miliary dermatitis. He is an indoor cat and we also have an 8 year old female dog. Can you recommend a home remedy for the dermatitis. And a recommendation for flea prevention for cats. Thank you very much.
I feed my dog Nutrience Sub Zero Puppy food, he is 5 months old and the last month he has started licking and biting his fur off at the legs and sides. He has flea medication in a pill form. I cannot see any bites or red spots. His skin is "dry" when I scratch him. Would it be environmental? I have bathed him twice since getting him at 8 weeks. Should I try a bath with an oatmeal type or just see when the grass goes this winter? I just started giving him wild Alaskan salmom oil yesterday to see
My pug has been on and off apoquel for her whole life. And this is what she looks like still. I know apoquel suppresses the immune system and is not good long term (my vet keeps pushing to refill). I’d like to suggest an allergy test maybe, but what should I ask the vet to do?? They don’t seem to be dealing with the root of the skin problems and only masking the symptoms?? Also anything I can do at home in the meantime before I can afford the vet? Rosie would appreciate some relief!!
What natural diet can help to grow long coat?
Hello, My cat has food and environmental allergy. We got good cat food for her and she is ok during cold season. From Spring to Fall is worst, she is very itchy, especially her ears and face area. We got steroids injections for her and it worked, but we do not want her to keep on steroids all the time. Any "ANTIHISTAMINES AVAILABLE “OVER-THE-COUNTER” would work for cats. Which one would be the best for my cat to treat outdoor allergies? Please help!
My cocker spaniel has awful issues with allergies. When she gets a flare up it starts in her ear and then becomes systemic through her sticking her paws in her ears and then licking her paws. We are now dealing with a yeast infection of her skin. Currently using malacetic shampoo to bathe her, but that doesn't seem to deter the growth. She has licked herself raw in areas. Last night we bought a hot spot foam and a collar to deter licking. Any suggestions on other treatments for the yeast?
