We are having a thunderstorm right now and my dog is losing his mind. He's always been afraid of storms and nothing I do is helping to calm him. He's also pooping reddish brown, jelly like poo. He went on the bathroom floor and there was one solid poo and the rest was little reddish brown jelly spots all over. This is not the first times he's gone like this.

I put my dog on Hills dry food instead of Purina because he has a really sensitive stomach but his poo smells absolutely disgusting but he's stopped having loose stools like he was having while on the other food. Hello, I have a 7 year old black lab. He's a big boy who gets very hot in warm weather so likes to lie on the coolest surface he can find which is always hard. Consequently, he has callouses on his elbows but they have become a lot bigger this year and one of them looks sore. I just wondered what Ii could do to alleviate this problem. Have a spunky new rescue chihuahua mix and she is skittish. So much so she will resist any efforts to trim her nails. We have 4 dogs so I have trimmed nails hundreds of times--but with Ricki Ricardo, no luck. I sit on the floor and flip them over and cradle them between my legs. My wife distracts them with peanut butter on a spoon. Besides going to a groomer or vet, any ideas? I thought maybe a groomer table might help. Are there premium nail cutters of higher quality than store bought?
