Hello, I have a two-year-old Staffordshire mix that weighs 44 lb (20 kg). She is moderately active and currently doing intensive behavioural training. We have her on a daily 1,070 calorie diet (as recommended by another vet) and feel as though she's slightly underweight. Can you please advise as to what her daily intake should be and guidance for increasing it? Thanks! David

Our cat has been on Hills r/d for 2 years and has lost 2 pounds. Is that healthy to be for that long?
Is Purina pro plan a good food for French bulldogs? Lou is on royan canin gastrointestinal low fat after a case of colitis. Itโs time to transition him to something else and Iโm looking to change his food. He would only eat pure balance wet food after his ivdd surgery but I donโt think itโs the best and itโs sometimes hard to find. Any advice
Can you please recommend a diet for a cat with Feline pancreatitis, currently feeding Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Sensitivity Control Wet food. He only eats wet food.
Hello, I have a 2yr old pitbull/lab mix (I think), she has been healthy but for the last few weeks she seems to have been eating less and less and won't eat her dry dog food unless I sit right next to her and encourage her to eat. I just got a weight gain supplement for her to help her regain some weight. Im wondering if there is anything I should do to get her to eat more often.
I'm looking for a high quality limited ingredient diet with sodium levels between 0.3-0.5% dry matter basis maximum. Can someone recommend a brand to me? thanks!
Just recused this little guy... very malnourished, just started gaining some weight. He is missing many teeth so eating is a problem, he does he the small bites. Any other food you can recommend for weight gain, older dog with no teeth? Also a treat, maybe something that will dissolve, can he have gerber puffs baby snacks as treats???
Lucy has a cruciate ligament injury on her right back leg. She has muscle atrophy as well. It was diagnosed a month ago. She has metacam if she seem to be more uncomfortable. Her weight was 96.8 lbs a month ago and today she was 96.2 lbs. Her vet said to cut her food down from 3 cups of dry food to 2 cups a day. She doesn't really get exercise due to her leg. What is a normal or safe amount of weight to lose in a month
which foods are best for dog with allergies and an enlarged heart
I am trying to help a 13-year-old cat put on weight. He has never liked wet food but I remember helping an older cat with health problems to get some calories by feeding A/D wet food. Is there a similar super palatable food that is not vet prescribed that I might try? My cat's health is good. Recent blood work by my vet showed not problems at all. Thanks.
My 15 year old cat has stage 2 kidney disease. She shows no changes in her personality or daily habits. She will not eat any of the renal wet prescription diet food that our vet has suggested. What would be the best brand of store shelf wet food for her? I have been reading labels for high protein and moisture, good Omega 3, low phosphorus and alot of brands seem to be about the same. She is a fussy eater.
